I have just been beaten in a lvl 25 battle, by something that put down a fiery type of circle at the beginning of the battle, the pet stood back, letting the others take their chance, but the circle stayed there for the duration, killing all my pets..
what is it?
I WANT one!
I think it must be one of the new ones, but haven't come across it before.

Do you have any more information? Like... what kind of creature was it or perhaps even the colors of the pet? Like, for instance, was it an imp? A demon looking pet?

Only moves I can think of are:
Death and Decay
Flamethrower (only seen it once.)
Immolation

I don't really do PVP battles a lot though.

Perhaps you are talking about Scorched Earth, the only fiery ring type I can think about.

I thought of Lil' Ragnaros' magma trap followed by Sons of the flame and started crying and cursing, although it's probably not that.

I looked at Rag.. and its definitely a similar ring of fire.. but how was it kept active the entire 3 pet battle? I was totally unaware of the enemy using Ragnaros constantly. is there perhaps a buff enabling one of the new pets to keep a specific weapon in play?

Was it death and decay by any chance? That lasts 9 rounds.

I had the same thing happen in a pet battle and I thought it was Lil Rag, but the tamer had 2 other fire types and utilized a rotation of them with multiple dots and multi attack moves. Needless to say I lost fairly quickly, but I am not that good at PvP either, so wasn't too beat up about it. hehe
