As if there wasn't enough "gotta collect them all" motivation, there is now Pet Battle Rankings based on the levels and quantity of your army on WoW Progress.

I know that feeling. I need to collect more so I can level more! And somehow fit that around everything else I do in WoW. T_T

Not only know that feeling, but it's made worse by being over a week away from getting back to a wow capable machine.

Sadly, almost all of the people in the top just went with multiples of the same pet to boost it. It should at least check for unique pets.

I didn't even know this existed until I did a /woohoo with a link to my rare Wander's Festival Hatchling in trade and the number two on my server (apparently I am #1) pst'd me. It has nothing to do with how good you are in pvp or anything, just catch a lot of rares and lvl a lot of pets and you can rank high, lol. Still, it's fun being near the top!

Yup, the scores are completely bogus.

Anyone who wants to could just fill their roster with 3 each of the pets from Pandaria and have a high score. Compound that with the fact that armory doesn't seem to update pets very often (at least, mine hasn't updated since Friday or Saturday), and what you've got is something wildly inaccurate.

Aye I'm currently in the process of making a mockery of it by grabbing every rare I can lay hands on. I don't often get the chance to be number one in the world anywhere, so I'm having a go. Currently 251 as we speak after as start at just over 1200 when I started a few days ago.

To be fair I'm also doing Rookie Pet Group, Pro Pet Group and Pro Pet Mob at the same time.

Multiples are no longer counted towards your WowProgress Pet Score. This update significantly changed the top ranked players (overall).

I think it's a small step in the right direction for a more accurate ranking system for Pet Battles.

I could be derping but is there a way to sort the pet scores by region and realm?

Go to wowprogress.com, type in the realm you'd like to look up and then hit go. It should take you to the rankings for that specific server. The option to view Pet Scores is the last one on the navigation menu above all the different classes. I think that should do it!

Oh good move by them.

Much fairer imo.

Will hopefully be updated by the time I get home.

Hehe, it's got me on the list twice with two different scores. So it may also have some alt synching issues.

Well, back in the top 400 (World) and rising after refreshing everyone above me.

Yes, I am THAT determined for it to be a fair contest.

Now to get back to work on getting those achievements.

2499th in the world, but #1 on Shadowsong. If that's not a reflection of the quality of my server, I don't know what is.

What does (u) after your name mean? And why are my alts battle scores not the same? Does it matter which toon catches the pet? I mean how do they know who my main is? Otherwise there would be 50 toons all exactly the same across different realms etc.

Now I'm officially representing this site as number 24!

This new change dropped me way down on the list but I do agree it's much more accurate and fair. Now you actually have to level your pets if you want to rank high. It's how it should be. Ah well, it was fun being 13th in the world while lasted!

And I've just realised why alts may not show the same score - guild stuff. It confused me the crap out of me the first time I went to an alt and my total was different, but I forgot I only have the Guild Page and Guild Herald on my main.

And you're best to register, as you can set your main in your profile.
