Update Pet Error?

I will have to reload on another toon myself. It says I have 1 of 1223 pet when I have 900 and some odd pets. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Something is not quite right...

If you are still having problem with the reimport, change your character to one that haven't login after 8.2.

I tried all the solutions advised but unfortunately the only chars I haven't logged into yet are the low level ones that this site doesn't recognize.

At first I thought my account had been hacked when I saw only 2 pets (from 1036!!)... I almost spat my coffee across the room lol
I too have lost all of my pets and have tried the workaround with an alt that I haven't used in months and still no update ... Oh well, I guess Blizz will finally pull their respective fingers out and sort it at their end as soon as possible, until then I shall keep pet hunting and hopefully my total will look a lot healthier.

Just tried the fix that Quintessence posted little ways down in first page of this thread and my pet count is correct again. You'll need to have a toon, over level 10, that hasn't logged on since the 8.2 patch.

Hey guys,

Just one think i've noticed that may or may not affect this.
I've noticed that the link to my character on the update page, still links to the old Pet Page.

It links to:

When it should be linked to
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/chara ... tions/pets

I've noticed this that if you try to import your character via the alternate way it doesn't work.

If is put:
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/chara ... n/rothogar
It says that the characted is not found

However if i put the old armory URL it works (even thoug this address redirects me to the new url):
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/a ... r/advanced

I'm don't have the knowledge on how the API works but i've noticed this difference. Not sure if by checking this it will be possible to fix it or at least come with a workaround

Yay this workaround worked. Took one of my level 20's that I made but haven't been on since I made her before 8.2, used her on my profile, reimported BOOM all pets back now

No change of character or server makes any difference on mine either. From 1108 unique rare pets to 1.

Our lead web developer submitted a report to Blizzard yesterday. We're waiting to see if there's a response.

In the meantime, try this workaround to get your WarcraftPets collection up-to-date:

1. Log onto your main toon (refreshes your collection)
2. Log out of the game completely
3. Go to WarcraftPets and change the toon you import from to another character (if you have one) that you have NOT logged into post-8.2, and is above level 10. (Using a character on another server, different from your main, seems to work best.)
4. Attempt re-importing

After a few days of frustration, waiting for Blizz to update, I found this workaround. I followed the directions and logged into a toon I had not played in a long time on another realm and viola! Collection restored. Thanks for this post!

Not unless you update again. I updated as my horde alt on Thrall, then updated back to my Alliance main on Whisperwind and it stuck (until I try to update again - and then had to repeat as updating from my main did wipe me back down to 2).
