Malware Message from this site.
I keep getting a message from Google Chrome saying the site has been infected with Malware from cm.netseer.com. I'm guessing it's from one of the banner ads on the site. Might want to look into it.
Re: Malware Message from this site.
Rest assured, it’s not malware. See the following message from our ad network:
Earlier today, Internet advertising network NetSeer suffered a hack to its front-end Web site today that rippled across the Web sites of its advertising partners. The alerts warned visitors who were using the Chrome browser that the Web site they were visiting was a "known malware distributor." NetSeer’s operations team went into all-hands-on-deck mode and successfully cleaned their site of the malware issue. They have also been working with Google to do an expedited review of the site and remove the site from the malware impacted site-list so that browsing behavior can be restored for all users, a NetSeer spokesperson said.
This issue affected virtually all of the major on-line advertising platforms in the industry.
For reference, the malware associated to the NetSeer hack did not make its way into the ad serving stream. On the contrary, Google immediately added the NetSeer domain to their malware-affected websites list in direct response to the hack this morning. Subsequently, this action was what was generating the alert messages in Chrome earlier today.
So it should be resolved. Give their solution a little time to propagate. If it continues through tomorrow, please let us know.
