Pet filters not working? I specificly want to exclude pets i have collected.

I have always filtered the pets and excluded the ones I have collected. This no longer works for me. Is there a fix to this? is anyone else having this problem? Many thanks!
Edit: I did see that someone made a post similar to this earlier this year but it said that issue had been resolved.
