Re: Gender
I was under the impression that breed ID 3-12 are male, and 13-22 are female. And if so, it exists female breeds in the game on live servers.TippyKitt wrote:Gender hasn't been put in the game yet. Its a possible upcoming feature.

Re: Gender
Genders go hand in hand with a pet's breed ID. You can read more about it here!
Feel free to browse through my pet collecting blog: http://wowpetaddiction.blogspot.com
Re: Gender
Wouldn't it just be easier to flip the pet over and check?

Hellomynameis is absolutely correct.Hellomynameis wrote:I was under the impression that breed ID 3-12 are male, and 13-22 are female.
In a week or two, we'll be including data for your own collected pets' breeds on our site. At that time, you'll be able to scroll over a pet in your collection to view its breed info, or view any pet profile of a pet you've collected and it will default to the level, breed and quality you've collected.
Re: Gender
I respect my pet's privacy.
Oh, as I'm posting this I realize I've named quite a few of my battle pets. Boy is there going to be egg on my face if I discover that some of my pets with boys names are girls. . . and vice versa.

Re: Gender
Breed has no real effect yet however. But according to the interview on the front page of this website, it might eventually do something! I can't wait to try cross-breeding my pets!!
Re: Gender
So, um, how DO you tell which gender your pet is?
For example: I have a rare Maggot at lvl 22. I used the stat calculator and found out it has 4 possible IDs (2 male, 2 female). I narrowed it down to 3 or 13 but how do you tell between the two?

Re: Gender
If I understand correctly I'll be able to tell my pets' genders with this. That will be really nice. You guys are so on top of everything I could possibly want in this site.Breanni wrote:Hellomynameis is absolutely correct.Hellomynameis wrote:I was under the impression that breed ID 3-12 are male, and 13-22 are female.

Thanx team
Re: Gender
I think you mean Gender has no effect. Breed determines the balance of stats a pet has.Zaelo wrote:Breed has no real effect yet however. But according to the interview on the front page of this website, it might eventually do something! I can't wait to try cross-breeding my pets!!
