Ok, so I got bored with the effort of moving my hand to the mouse to click a team member when I wanted to swap in the middle of a battle. It was a pain being able to do everything with the number keys (1-5) and there wasn't a key to pick a pet. It turns out the following can be used:
PetTrackerBattleSlot4 (top pet)
PetTrackerBattleSlot5 (middle pet)
PetTrackerBattleSlot6 (bottom pet)
So, if you make a macro for each one with the click command and bind it to a key (I use alt+1, alt+2, alt+3) you can do the whole fight with just the keyboard. For example, to pick the top pet the macro should be:
/click PetTrackerBattleSlot4
I hope that helps somebody.

Battles with just the keyboard
Re: Battles with just the keyboard
There's a great addon called Battle Pet Binds that assigns keyboard strokes to all the battle pet actions, for those that don't want to set up keybinds themselves.
Re: Battles with just the keyboard
TIL
Looking at the addon it doesn't mess with your normal keybinds which is even better than my macro.
This should be added to the macro page I think.

Re: Battles with just the keyboard
the biggest advantage is that it can use already used binds. if you're short on free keybind slots this is very nice. for instance, i have bound f1-8 with raid markers and also the numbers 1-3 aren't on my standard bar anymore (almost everything i bind is on hidden bars).
so, there ya go, a small addon that can make a huge quality of life difference.
