Oh well, back to Mists trainers for leveling then.

Your favorite Menagerie birds will yield 80XP per fight (EIGHTY) once 6.1 goes live.Gingerscream wrote:Xp nerf???? What is this madness >.<

aren't lunkers going to be a little easier to catch once patch hits?

Here's a thread in our new PTR forum listing all of the new additions and changes coming in 6.1: http://www.warcraftpets.com/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=13095
You can find information on all of the 6.1 pets here, and we'll be adding them to the website once the patch is released.GrosBonda wrote:do we have details of those ?Morlis wrote: Looking forward to:

Wow that's rough. Honestly though‚ why does Blizzard -care- how fast or lazily we're levelling our pets? It's a pretty personal achievement to have 100s at level 25- it's not like there's some real gain tied to it.Buruan wrote:Your favorite Menagerie birds will yield 80XP per fight (EIGHTY) once 6.1 goes live.Gingerscream wrote:Xp nerf???? I am really looking forward to the new pets in raids and the lunkers being easier to get, however I am going to mourn the sad loss of bird day =(

I was annoyed that Stitches/Eleanor/QoL only yielded 700xp..
With 80xp, I won't bother do them at all, once I get my last 35 pets upgraded to blue..

This is sad Used the Menagerie to get 4 level to my Zandalari pet. (Oh well at less they don't nerf XP gain from Trainers) and at less it still give that Level 1 upgrade stone.Buruan wrote:Your favorite Menagerie birds will yield 80XP per fight (EIGHTY) once 6.1 goes live.Gingerscream wrote:Xp nerf???? Happy that they add pet's to Black Temple so, I don't have to cry over not getting glevies this week.

The birds were not the only ones with 2 pet strategies, although they were certainly the best.FuxieDK wrote:No powerlevelling possible

Re: 6.1 goes live Feb 24th! New PETS!
This is the list of dailies;
Eleanor
Tirs and Fieros
Rockbiter, Stonechewer, and Acidtooth
Quintessence of Light
Blingtron 4999b, Protectron 022481, and Protectron 011803
Stitches Jr.
Manos, Hanos, and Fatos
Deebs, Tyri, and Puzzle
Brutus and Rukus
Mr. Terrible, Carroteye, and Sloppus
The Beakinator
King Floret and Queen Floret
Kromli and Gromli
Grubbles, Scrags, and Stings
Jahan, Samm, and Archimedes
So Saturday should be a good levelling day for Mr. Terrible, Carroteye, and Sloppus.
From Wowhead (blarrick);
Emperor Crab with Surge, Healing Wave and Whirlpool.
Anubasith Idol with Crush, Sandstorm and Deflection
Leveling pet with at least 1 damaging move (UPDATE: You need the move to deal a minor amount of damage. Level 1 pets are too low, but my level 12 pet worked fine. It has to deal enough damage to Carroteye so he casts heal, as opposed to Spiked Skin).
Start with your Leveling pet and cast any damaging spell. Then swap into your Emperor Crab. Cast a Whirlpool and spam Surge until Mr. Terrible is dead.
Now once Carroteye comes out your Emperor Crab will most likely not be able to survive another hit. If he can due to breed/RNG then cast a whirlpool, otherwise, let him die and swap into your Anubasith Idol. Whenever you see him cleanse himself, you know a Leech Seed is coming. Cast Deflection after every cleanse. Aside from that, keep Sandstorm up and spam Crush until Carroteye is dead.
Finally, for Sloppus youll want to cast Deflection whenever he casts feed. This will block the feed damage and the Absorb damage/healing that comes with it. You'll want to do this whenever possible, although you wont be able to block them all. Otherwise, spam Crush and Sandstorm like you did for Carroteye. Alternatively, you can choose to ignore using Sandstorm since Sloppus has an ability that lowers your hit chance by 25% if youd like to avoid the RNG.

Re: 6.1 goes live Feb 24th! New PETS!
That means 2/24 is Scraggs day and that was a huge power level day too. I wonder if we'll get a chance to sneak in a few rounds then or if 6.1 goes live at 6am in the morning. To be honest, I had better luck with the group the day before Jahan because their moves were much more predictable and I could get the last pet down to 177HP before I brought in the level pet.FuxieDK wrote:No powerlevelling possible

Jahan was much more unpredictiable with that 50% chance of a crit hit. When the RNG gods were in your favor then it was easy street. But there were a few times when RNG was a cruel mistress and my pets would suffer. They never suffered with the group the day before.
Re: 6.1 goes live Feb 24th! New PETS!
Manos was even better, it had a 100% strat finishing with Darkmoon Zep exploding, so the levelling pet didn't even need to enter battleAbbotta wrote:That means 2/24 is Scraggs day and that was a huge power level day too. Here is a 10 round battle for powerleveling today that has no risk to your plvl pet. Its not my strat.Echinacea wrote:i have about 40 low level pets i need to max before next wednesday....grr, i end up googling strats and still havent found a combo i have other than the bird pets which will be the day after patch.
Brutus & Rukus
use: Iron Starlette (P/S 1 2 1), Darkmoon Zeppelin (1 2 2), plvl pet (any)
vs Brutus: Wind Up, Supercharge, Wind Up
vs Rukus: Toxic Smoke, switch to Zeppelin, Missle, Missle, Decoy, then use Missle til Rukus is under 618 hp. Then use Explode.
Not a 100% plvl tho... since the damage range on the Missles is so big it can fall short by about 100 hp sometimes.

*cracks knuckles*
Yep... I'm ready. Going to be parking all six of my level 100s and my two 90+ toons outside BT Monday night before bed and heading in immediately as soon as the servers go up. Then I'll cash them out at vendors and move on to Sunwell, followed by Hyjal... energy levels permitting.
My hope is that with all of those alts running the raids I will manage to get all the new pets within the first day or two of 6.1 going live - which may be wishful thinking since my test runs on the PTR showed a horrible drop rate for the Mount Hyjal pets. Sure... my garrisons will be neglected for a bit, but oh well. I've been waiting for these pets (especially Abyssius, as I've wanted one since I saw that model on the tamer in Felwood) since RWLIII was announced.
Once I've finished up with that daunting task, I'll be hoping for the new pets from the random garrison dailies, working on my jukebox and selfie cam, going back to fishing up lunkers for the pets from Nat, and grinding out the dailies required to get Harrison Jones as a follower. Not to mention, I'll finally get to work on leveling my blood elf mage.
Yep... I'm gonna be one busy little gnome! Or should I say five busy little gnomes, a busy night elf, and two busy humans?

While it is sad to lose our power-leveling method in the garrison, I am looking forward to all the new things and pets coming in the patch, and the much needed improvement on the lunker drop rate.
I have 4 level 100 toons that I will be running through the raiding with leashes III instances. and will continue doing so each week - whoo boy, a lot of grinding coming up!Gardenia wrote: Yep...
