Use a Draenei Micro-Defender and anything with an Ion Cannon. Then pick a pet with less health than the micro-defender so that the Defender will be switched in.
Step 1: Ion Cannon.
Step 2: Reflective Shield.
Step 3: Anything. Watch Lil' Oondasta basically kill himself in a couple of turns.
Maybe a howl in the first slot would be even more fun? Off to go try it. Update: howl debuff doesn't seem to effect reflected damage.
Fun strat for Lil' Tommy Newcomer.

Re: Fun strat for Lil' Tommy Newcomer.
I killed that guy once and can't even remember how I did it. And since I got nothing of value other than some of those timeless coins since we were in the WoD xpac were pretty much useless I haven't done him since.
It would be nice if we could have him added to some sort of accomlishment like the Awfully Big Adventure (could you kill Oodasta with 2 pets?) or maybe if you attempt him enough times you'd get a Mini-Oodasta pet as a pet. Maybe they could add that to Raiding with Leashes IV!
Not even sure if he is a part of the Longest Day achievement.
But sounds like a neat strategy you have.

There are a few strats. I use:Abbotta wrote:(could you kill Oodasta with 2 pets?)
Clockwork Gnome
Zandalari Kneebiter/Anklerender
Carry pet with less health than the zandalari but enough to survive his AoE
Build Turret (force swapped to zandalari)
Black Claw
Hunting Party (usually die here)
Select carry pet -> swap back to Clockwork Gnome (oondasta dies here).
Sometimes the Zandalari survives and you don't get the carry pet in.

I use this one, but don't even bother with a carry pet. It's a great, fast kill - you only need to do three things; build turret, apply black claw, cast hunting party and watch him drop like a stone. Occasionally you might need to finish him off with a devour or ravage.Jerebear wrote:There are a few strats. I use:Abbotta wrote:(could you kill Oodasta with 2 pets?)

Huh, and to think I always used a Decoy to block the swap.
