Can anyone explain this "pop culture reference"?????

The "Left Shark" was a [url=http://www.usmagazine.com/entertainment/news/katy-perry-left-shark-super-bowl-halftime-show-revealed-201532]choreographed act[/url] (but wasn't revealed as such until after the fact) during Katy Perry's performance at the [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XLIX_halftime_show#Commercial_impact]Super Bowl XLIX halftime show[/url] that ultimately turned into an Internet meme.

I don't see left shark is any different from right shark..

The main difference is that the Left Shark was perceived as more of a sloppy/silly performance rather than a choreographed dance routine. It was just something people thought was funny since it was unexpected of a professional, high-budget show.

I think you might be underestimating its popularity. Even if you're not, it won't be the first time they've put in something esoteric.
