Hi Guys,

Just a heads up that if you already own one of the existing games in DE or CE format you cannot purchase the complete DE.

For for instance I own Heart of the Storm CE but missed out on the original and the Thor pet.

I tried to buy the complete collection DE to get my Thor but it told me I was not eligable.

I raised a ticket requesting they remove my HotS account so I could buy the Complete DE, this was the responce

As we discussed, at the moment the LotV Digital Deluxe requires Standard WoL and HotS.

This is something that's been escalated to the Devs, so hopefully it will be changed at some point.

If not though, it's possible to go ahead and just delete the SC2 Account, that'll be a permanent decision and the progress will be lost. If you do want to go ahead with that at some point though, it can be requested here: https://eu.battle.net/support/help/solu ... tlenet/769

So, in a nutshell you can delete your current licences to get all 3 pets and other awards but you loose your progress, However its a known issue that many other ppl have brought up so there maybe another option coming

As someone who only bought HoTS for the pet, I have NO progress so I'm off to do this now!! Thank you! :D

Checked out the link you provided and a little worried about using it.
Please only submit ticket from this form if you wish to permanently delete your Battle.net account, along with any associated games. For any other request, select another option.
It sounds as though you'd lose WoW too. Has anyone tried this yet ?

I got the same thing, Ranok, so was also a bit too nervous to use it. I put in another ticket asking how I go about deleting Starcraft from my BattleNet (so I could purchase the deluxe bundle) and got this reply instead:
This is Game Master Arrorreetha.
Thank you for your ticket.

I have checked your issue and forwarded your case to a specialist team.
Please try to purchase the Starcraft Bundle again in, earliest, two business days from now.

I hope this resolved your issue, and I wish you a nice day and enjoy.

I would not delete the battle net account in an attempt to remove Starcraft!! I'd be afraid of losing WoW and everything else permanently.
I did ask a GM to remove Starcraft (HotS DD) license from my battlenet account so that I could purchase the bundle, and the GM said they are unable to remove SC from the account. Here's the relevant part of that convo:

I gotcha. Unfortunately, there is currently an issue with players being unable to purchase the complete bundle if they have any other SC2 license attached to their account. I'm unable to remove heart of the swarm from your account.

If you gift yourself the code, you won't be able to redeem it (if you have that error from having the HotS CE/DD).

It sounds like they might fix it though...

This is supposed to not be an issue if all you have is the standard editions, though you can't just buy the 3 pack to upgrade you need to have the first 2 THEN you have to buy the 3rd one, THEN you buy the digital deluxe upgrade at a discount, not sure how much of one though, maybe 40$, I dont remember what they get to upgrade a standard edition.

Right, if you have all three SC2 Standard Editions (which would have set you back total of $80), you can then buy the Complete Set Deluxe Digital for a discounted $40.

Lastest ticket . . . none of the GM's seem to want to give me a direct answer on whether or not I can delete my Starcraft account but the last two GM's I've spoken to both agree that the Deluxe Bundle is working AS INTENDED and that it is not possible to buy it if you already have one of the collector's editions.

They said this is not currently due to change but agreed that it is possible in the future so just to keep an eye on it.

I was dealing with an issue where I had not previously purchased any copies of StarCraft and was receiving an error message while trying to purchase the Complete Collection saying that I had reached the limit on my account for the product.

I contacted Blizzard via chat and got an awesome GM who advised me that Blizz is aware of the glitch that's causing this and are working to fix it. The GM was able to remove my StarCraft Standard Edition license and thought that might resolve the issue. Alas, it did not. The same GM contacted me via email later and said that they had removed my StarCraft PTR license now and seemed confident that would allow me to go through with the purchase of the collection.

Jackpot! It worked! :D Received my Mini Thor and Baneling in mail. Still no Archon, but I'm assuming he will come later..

Anyone else facing my same issue can hopefully get this assistance. Based on individual experiences it seems like some GMs aren't sure what they can and can't do...but rest assured, they are able to remove certain licenses that will allow purchase to be made. Good luck all! :)

For those of you missing Mini Thor and can't directly purchase the Complete Collection Digital Deluxe Bundle because you have HotS CE/DD or LotV beta...
1. Buy the Standard LotV. ($39.99) :shock:
2. Buy the complete collection DD upgrade. ($40) :o
3. Relog ;)
4. Collect mini thor from your mailbox! :lol:
^ That should work for anyone with standard editions, HotS CE, HotS DD, and/or LotV beta. :D
No idea what happens if you buy LotV DD and then attempt the upgrade.
(GMs will probably still give you conflicting answers on if this works or not -- but if it doesn't, you should be able to get a refund.)

Then you're screwed. I am in this situation and after 2 lengthy exchanges with a GM, there is nothing he can do.

Having said that, I just got an EMail from Blizz that all restrictions have been removed and one can now buy the complete edition at ones heart desire no matter what was on the account prior.

I have not tested that statement yet.

Hope they do, Buruan.

I was lucky. I had originally picked up just the LotV DD. After realizing that the collection gave you all pets, I got in touch with a CSR who was able to refund the first purchase so I could pick up the collection instead. Then we had a rather lengthy conversation about pet collecting/battling. Was good stuff.

Just tried to purchase and it would allow me to purchase the complete collectors edition but said I had already purchased it and only able to buy 1 per account. I believe this was due to buying it for my mom using the same credit card number, not sure. She had no SC account and so the purchase went through when this first came out. I had the HotS CE so it blocked my purchase. I did the buy the LotV standard $39 and DD upgrade for $40 and as separate purchases about 10 min ago and those went through and I have a Mini-Thor now so all good and saved $20 in the process so happy there too!
