The new Grumpling pet from the Feast of Winter Veil event is available now!

Available Breeds: P/P, P/S, P/B

According to Wowhead you can loot it from the snow mounds in the daily quest area.
I had no luck yet myself, but a nice stranger gifted me one.

After learning it it's uncommon.

Mine had 150 HP, 13 power, 9 speed. So I guess mine is P/P.

Any of you guys had luck yet?

So far the majority I've seen have been P/S and only one P/B. P/P would be nice to see

For those of us who didn't read the patch notes, or didn't pay attention....the "daily quest area" referenced is NOT Hillsbrad this year. It's Frostfire Ridge....oops. been flying around Hillsbrad, looking for snow.

Seems like overwhelming supply according to TUJ so the real question is simply, what breed to buy off AH?

Punish seems to be flail mechanic derrived from Murkimus which is actually, despite tooltip, a triple attack. Combined with mangle thats alot of extra damage woven in with a PP breed. However mangle will take away the option of Frost Shock which allows you to be as fast as your opponents with 353 speed for PS breed and 314 for PP. Give or take 1 depending on how they round up/down numbers for outspeed vs equal fast. Frost Shock also syngergizes with Deep Freeze although Gifts of Winter Veil is a huge nuke. Imagine Frost Shock round1, initiative switch, go first round 2 and then nuke.

Hard choice, I'll get a PP and PS for sure for the moment so I can cross that off the to-do list for now, god knows we're busy enough with the toys and mount alt-grind aswell.

EDIT: It seems I confused Punish with Murkalots other slot1 ability Blessed Hammer which works as a flurry attack. So yeah no synergy with Grumplings Punish with Mangle. Ended up with a PP breed, going powerhouse mode.

- Do you need to be on the new garrison daily quests in order to see/loot the snow mounds? Or can you just go to the new questing area in Frostfire Ridge and start looting them?

- How fast are the respawn times for the snow mounds?

- Can multiple people loot a snow pile? Or does it depsawn after one person loots it?

I didn't have the quests and got mine.

really pretty fast, but with lots of people looking for them it was a bit luck to get one near me.

Despawns as soon as you loot, so one per mound.

I got mine on the 16th snow mound. (I did get one yellow snoball, it says to not eat it )

Also when you get him he is green, so I stoned it right away. (guess this was mentioned earlier in the thread but I skimmed over it)

Also some people were not very "Merry" about this, they would swoop in and take a mound that you were clearing a Grumpling that was standing near if not on top of some of the mounds. I saw Darolyn proclaim her frustration in chat that she was dismayed that people would do such a thing. Good luck to you Darolyn, you should have it soon.

All what I've seen were the flying druids over the snow.
Unless the corpses of Grumplings had covered the mounds.
I wonder when to loot them so.

And "WTS/WTB [Minion of Grumpus]" in the trade chat.

So much frustration over that unusual gift quest, but it's already addressed.

Of course PvP realm isn't the best to do these quests, luckily grouping for gifts provides also realm hop.
Same with Greench.

By the way, don't you have a feeling that it gives some Argent Tournament memories? Though I've recently grinded them again, so.

I did get a P/P, though I would be happy with any of them, I am a collector and not much for pet fighting.

I considered trying for another one or two, but I figure by the end of the holiday event there will be a huge glut of them on AH and I could pick up one or two more pretty cheap.

13 grumplings later I bought a P/P one from the AH.

They are dirtcheap anyway, oversupply pushes prices down into the basement. Similiar rate with Halloween Coin which ended on like 200g on my backwater realm. Going forward I can only assume they love this 1 vendor in Garrison/Order Hall/whatever with 111-2=5 currency daily quest system with a POI sandbox area. Homogenization on its way guys :p

Here's the joy of my server.

I'm up to 60+ snowballs & still nothing at all, not even an undesirable breed.

So many people packed into such a tight, tight spot.
And I can't get anywhere on the unusual present quest either.
