Hello all!
I'm looking for some advice with the team I want to use and I'm not sure if it is viable for pve/pvp play.
Lil'Ragniros
p/p
Sulfuras Smash/Magma Wave , Magma Trap, Sons of the Flame
Hyjal Wisp
S/S
Arcane Blast, Evanescence, Wish
Nexus Whelpling
P/P
Tail Sweep, Mana Surge, Arcane Storm
Any help you can offer would be super awesome!!
Need some advice on team!
Re: Need some advice on team!
EDIT: This is about PvP. Follow Gráinne for the basics!

Just "as is", ignoring the meta?
Arcane Storm will take away the Magma Trap's stun effect.
You should also have a more various damage output (you've got Magic/Elemental only, with barely Dragonkin that is currently the worst damage type [not the same as passive]).
In general, try to choose pets that can benefit from each other. These are very standalones, besides Wish and that weather effect.

Re: Need some advice on team!
Hi, and welcome to pet battling.
My advice is - don't think in terms of "a team". You should never, either in PvE or PvP, call something "your team".
In both PvE and PvP, you need to keep re-combining pets into different teams for different battles. Since certain pets are strong against others, your objective will be to line up pets that are strong against whatever the opposition team is. You choose a different team for each battle.
Have a look at http://www.wow-petguide.com/ to get a sense of some of the different teams you will need to handle different PvE tamers.
Have a look at http://pvppetbattles.com/guides/creating-a-team/ and http://pvppetbattles.com/daily-battle/ to get a sense of how to choose pets for a PvP team.
You have got 3 pets to level 25. Your next task is to get a few more pets to level 25, develop your roster so that you can start beating the tamers and levelling more. Your next pets to level should be the ones that will most help you level other pets - you want to be able to form the teams that beat the tamers.
Which pets should you develop? As you work through the tamers you will see some pets come in handy again and again. You have a Blue P/P [pet]Emerald Proto-Whelp[/pet] and a Blue P/P [pet]Nexus Whelpling[/pet] at level 19. Both of those will be very useful. You don't have an [pet]Anubisath Idol[/pet] yet; it's worth your while to run the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj and kill Ver'lor and Vek'nilash http://www.wowhead.com/npc=15276/emperor-veklor each week to get one - or you can buy one on the Auction House.
You have followed the Tamer trail up through Taming Outland, though I don't think you've got past Bloodknight Antari. If you go to his Wowhead page http://www.wowhead.com/npc=66557/bloodknight-antari#comments you will see lots of teams that can be used to beat him.
Then carry on through Northrend, Cata, and finally Pandaria. By the time you've finished Pandaria, you will have added more families and useful pets to your roster at level 25.
Meanwhile you can try the Draenor Tamers, which don't require you to have done the earlier expansions. http://www.wow-petguide.com/index.php?m=5

Re: Need some advice on team!
The one problem i can see is magma trap combined with arcane storm. THe one big bonus to traps is the stun so without that it is just another damage dealer. It's sort of outplayed and you might of wanted a theme but try switching Nexus Whelpling out for a Frostwolf Ghostpup. Haunting howl to heal against aoe teams, scratch, and i like to use frolic. One thing with traps is sometimes you need to stall to get it to go off. Also you will want to keep Magma Wave. Most your damage will be generated by getting the trap to go off and getting a free hit or switch to heal up Lil'Rag. The point of this team will be able to switch out when you want and traps will be annoying, also being able to clear decoys from the friendly MPD
Tested and i went with ghostly bite, on the ghostpup, for the extra damage

I get now. Thanks for the advice! I need to capture more pets so that I'm ready for all the different types of battles!

Yes, you've got it!
If you're fighting Undead, you want to use Critters or Aquatics - or even better, Aquatics with Critter attacks. If you're fighting Mechanicals, you call up your Elementals.
So you want to develop your roster so that no matter what the situation, you can find three pets that will get the job done.
In PvE, the Tamers always use the same pets, and within a zone, there will be a limited selection of Wild pets, so you can prepare for that. In PvP, you never know what your next opponent will bring, but experience tells you what's popular today. If four of your last five opponents have been running Graves and Bone Serpent, you'll probably whip up a team that stands a chance against them.
So evaluate your roster in terms of what good Humanoids you have, what Flyers, what Elementals, and so on.
