Need advice for Murkalot in 6.2.4

Hello,

So I invested in Murkalot and ive never been happier with the look and animations of a battlepet, and as a member of one of the many WoW "Knights of" guilds hes a natural for my toons!

I see from poking around the net this little guy was despised when initially released, and got a serious nerf. Most of the videos ive found on him feature him in his prenerf moveset, and I see him used as a setup for buffing backline dmg with RI on teams paired with Kovok, Graves, Blackfuse Bombling etc.

Id like to go another direction with him if its viable. Has anyone got suggestions for teams with Murkalot specced for Shieldstorm and having a more slug it out mindset? What pets synergize well with and support this murloc?

Id just like a few solid teams featuring this guy that compete well and can win half the time or better so using the teams stay fun.

holy crap 100 views and no replies.

I think I misled people with the title and they think I have some new found strat for Murkalot instead of looking for one lol.

Gonna retitle this and see what happens

Still nuthin'? Me neither.

Disco still ranks Murkalot top-tier, but I don't see it. As an assist for Graves, using RI to buff GD, yes. That can be end of game right there. But I have Murkalot, but no Graves, and never did manage to make a convincing team with him. If I bring him out nowadays, he typically gets destroyed in the back line by the accursed Undead AoE.

I've had some fun with Murkalot on an arcane winds team, with the Nexus Whelpling and a Ghostly Bite pet. The weather will prevent Falling Murloc and Ghostly Bite from stunning the pets that use those moves. Not the greatest team around, but I've squeezed a few wins out of it.

I hear ya. It's a hard call because RI makes any pet you use it with so much better, but at the same time Murkalot can't really carry non-tier pets like MPD/Teroclaw/Ore Eater/etc. can.

Hey Disco,

Its a privilege to have you in the thread. What little I have got right about pet battling is whatever sunk in watching your amazing videos. You and Hirus are the youtubers I head to immediately when I want to study a new pet im interested in. Thank you so much.

So an arcane winds team. Ill create one immediately. Sounds like a really fun and creative synergy to make falling murloc more to be feared!

Have you any other ideas? Id love to be able to create a small handfull of Murkalot teams based on different buffing strategies

Arcane Winds team is doing very very well. I actually made 7 different versions featuring every pet with Ghostly Bite in 3rd slot, and found a favorite Ive been running with between other teams since the post here.

Having Murkalot in there flailing away like a 1970's New York street gangster is so awesome :D

Are there any other good synergies youve discovered with Murkalot, Disco?
