WHy the name color Changes?

Just out of curiosity, does anyone else dislike the color changes in the pet names. Why did Blizz feel the need to remove the rarity colors from the pets names? I guess it doesn't really make a difference because the color band is still around the picture but was so much easier the other way.

I see the blue, green, white and grey names associated with quality in both my Pet Journal and when I hover over a summoned battle pet. Could it be an outdated addon causing the error for you? If not an addon, it might be a bug that should be reported.
