Not gone for good. Gone till further notice. Not much different but they do say they could come back at some point.

Didn't they also say the Guardian Cub could come back someday? It never did. At least not yet.
I really don't like this. They're trying to do the "Disney Vault" scare tactic to up their Q4 reports. Ignoring that, pets are five bucks a pop. I have to ask: Are any of them actually like...good? I got Rag forever ago and I use him in pet battles a lot against Mechanicals.
I have a million Beasts already so a lot of them don't really appeal to me but I saw Shadow was a Magic type with a sweet Blind combo. Ugh. I MIGHT have to grab him and Cap'n Crackers to pal around with my eventual KulTiran.

The question was asked about store pets quality
The better ones are..lil rags blossoming ancient... shadow
Lil xt and lil kt are good if you dont have the Landro versions.
The Blossoming ancient has a cousin clone in Broot (the druid source) pet
Overall..the store pets are so-so..no surprise because the pet community wouldnt like a pay to play obligation
I like the collecting and battling so I nabbed them all

I have all the store pets but I loathe pvp pet battling so I never care if pets are good for that or not. I collect purely for the numbers!
That said, out of all the store/TCG pets, I do use Purple Puffer and Lil' Rag a LOT for pet trainer battles.

Lil XT and Lil Rag are pretty useful ones to have. I've found uses for the Cinder Kitten and the Pandaren Monk in the past.

Depends on what you want out of them. For efficiency, I make extensive use of XT from the store. He isn't necessary by any means, but when you do the 1 hour MoP/WoD circuit every day for multiple months, any time savings becomes great over long periods of time. He's pretty integral to my level 1 carry strat for Wastewalker Shu. The TCG version is similar enough though (just slightly not as good).

I'm thinking about cashing in a WoW token and getting 3 of the on-sale pets, can anyone make any recommendations?
I have Lil XT and Lil Rags. I'd like to get at least one cat, because that will give me the Cat Lady achievement.
It looks like Mischief and Cinder Kitten are both recommended during some of the Legion Family Fighter achievements (which I'm working on now, h8u Gloamwing).
So, with all that in mind, are there any good standouts?

To be fair, the Blossoming Ancient is mostly duplicated by Broot (though they are not identical).
I did appreciate having the Cinder Kitten for the Argus achievement.
Pandaren Monk was one I’ve found useful as well.
