I feel trolled hopefully they get added soon, although you could probably see them in kalimdor already but they aren't trackable or crosshairable yet

who knows maybe if you look around you might see more "tiny" or "little" pets, i know EGTactics seen a small blue frog (i think it was called) the other day while questing in un'goro crater but I'm not sure if that's new or not.

I'd just go to the obvious areas where critters usually are or where a new type of pet for that zone would spawn.

Literally, almost ALL of the wild pets match my list. I'm so excited! Though, I do hope that we'll be able to obtain pets as we always have, and that it won't JUST be from pet battles from now on.

Anyway, great list! Can't wait to help the search in other areas when I get into the beta.

Has anyone checked outside of the purple crystal cave entrance to mara in beta? In live there are lots of cute baby purple shale spiders scuttling around the entrance.

It has been confirmed by wowhead that you will still get the pets by the old way too so there will be at least 2 ways of getting pets catching in wild and the old ways i've heard a rumor that you will be able to unlock pets too but i don't have a yes or no on it yet i've even asked my sister (shes got beta) and she hasn't been able to start the pet collecting yet though we are both huge fans of pet collecting and mount collecting me i also collect rare hunter pets so if anyone knows if there are new rare spawns that would be nice to know

For hunter pet news, I suggest keeping an eye on the Petopia beta forum. It's still early days, though: they haven't even flagged common beasts as tameable.

Un'goro: In the volcano type place in the middle I found ash lizard and fire beetle.

Darkshore: rat, rabbit, squirrel, deer and shimmershell snail

Teldrassil: elfin rabbit, red-tailed chipmunk, small frog, crested owl and fawn

Darnassus: elfin rabbit, red-tailed chipmunk, small frog and forest moth

Winterspring: robo-chick, rabid nut varmint 5000 and rabbot are all in everlook

Don't worry, she's likely a rare pet. Weather or time dependent, heck maybe both!

I have a Quiraji Guardling.

They're a victim of the trans-zone phasing issue. They only appear in Silithus while you are in Ahn'Qiraj.
There's only a couple of spots that I could find where a mad dash forward combined with wild clicking managed to beat the phase out.
