5.2 Uncageables

Is my understanding correct that of the new 5.2 battle pets, the 4 wild and 4 carp are the only ones that can't be caged/traded?

That is correct. The pandas, island pets, and raid pets are tradable.

The Red Panda is not tradeable either.

It's not 5.2 but I think it's stupid you can trade and sell the Red Cricket but not cage it.

I got a 2nd one learned it to sell it on another character on another server and found I couldn't cage it so now I'm stuck with 2 learned Red Cricket's.

The mechanical chicken works the same way. The item that teaches it can be freely traded and sold, but once learned you cannot cage it.

Don't worry Talmar, I absolutely agree with the stupidity factor. It should be an all or nothing scenario imho.
