Introduction
You are a veteran pet battler and are looking for the most efficient setups and strategies to complete your tamer dailies? This guide is for you!

This guide is not designed for beginners. Here, I assume that you have a solid pool of lvl 25 pets. Therefore, I do not constrain myself when designing teams: I choose the best pets (in Rare quality) for the job. The only limitation is that I don't include pets that are not catchable ingame (TCG/pet store/collector...).
If you have a hard time completing some of these teams, I recommand you to check my other guide, Guide to tamer daily pet battles (5.3) - For beginners. There, with only 2 pets (Anubisath Idol and Emerald Proto-Whelp), you will find reliable strategies for each of these fights.

If you have better setups than mine, please share! Whenever I use a setup with low dmg or survival abilities hampering my damage, I am especially interested in tips about what I can do or other pets I can use to finish the battle faster (but still very reliably).


Goals
- The teams have only 2 lvl 25 pets, leaving room for a lowlvl “carry pet” for leveling.
- Winning as quickly and reliably as possible. This means max dmg, unless the reliability is low / RNG is high, in which case I choose a lower dmg pet with abilities suited for surviving.
- I try to avoid using pets that are hard to come by such as TCG/pet store/collector edition pets. I only use pets that are obtainable ingame, except for the Vampiric Batling.


Addons
I strongly recommand you these two addons (or any equivalent):
- PetBattleInfo to monitor the enemies' cooldowns.
- PetBattleTeams to easily setup and use the 14 teams presented in this thread.


Description
In the guide I use these parameters: [Pet name] [[Breed]] [(Skillset)]

- The number 1 – 3 in front of the pet names signify which pet you start with and which pet gets switched in next.
- Skillset: 1,1,1 means the first ability slot for all three abilities. 2,2,2 means the second ability slot for all three abilities. 1,2,2 means the first ability slot for the first ability, and the second ability slot for the second and third ability.
- X rounds, under the tamer's name, represents the 'Time to kill' (the number of rounds it takes on average to achieve victory).
- Concerning carry pets and XP: Usually, I switch in the carry pet when my first pet dies, then immediately switch the carry pet out for the last lvl 25 pet. This way, you will get xp without having to make an action or take a hit. In some battles, I let the carry pet switch in at a different time for tactical purposes.

Aki the Chosen
19 rounds
1: Spirit Crab [6] (1,2,1)
2: Carry pet
3: Yellow Moth [4] (1,1,2)

vs Chirrup
- Shell Shield > Snap
- Chain cast Snap, unless there is 1-turn left on your Shell Shield (then recast it)
vs Stormlash
- Whirlpool > Snap
- Chain cast Snap, unless there is 1-turn left on your Shell Shield (then recast it)
vs Whiskers
- Whirlpool > Snap
- Don't recast your Shell Shield from now on, the goal is to let your Spirit Crab die. In the meantime, do as much damage as you can whithout killing Whiskers (skip turns if you have to)
- When your Crab dies, switch to Carry pet > switch to Yellow Moth
- Cocoon Strike vs Dive
- Moth Dust when up, Slicing Wind otherwise

- Notes: With Whiskers mostly going first with Surge no matter if the Moth has superior speed, Slicing Wind is the way to go here.


Thundering Pandaren Spirit
23 rounds
1: Grasslands Cottontail [5] (1,2,1)
2: Sunreaver Micro-Sentry [-] (1,2,2)
3: Carry pet

vs Pandaren Earth Spirit
- Scratch > Burrow
- Continue with Scratch, and use Burrow each time it is off cooldown
vs Sludgy
- Switch to Sunreaver Micro-Sentry
- Supercharge > Haywire
vs Darnak
- Laser > Supercharge > Laser until your Sunreaver Micro-Sentry dies
- Switch to Carry pet > switch to Grasslands Cottontail
- Scratch every turn, unless Darnak has BOTH Stone Rush and Burrow off cooldown (then cast Scratch > Dodge), or he ONLY has Stone Rush off cooldown (then cast Burrow). If you do it right, your Grasslands Cottontail will not sustain any damage from Darnak.

- Notes: Any variant of Rabbit with a speed above 301 will do. The Grasslands Cottontail [5] just has the best stat distribution for this fight. Flurry is a multi-strike ability, which don't work well against a Shield. As a 1-strike ability, Scratch is better here.


Courageous Yon

- Notes: Snarly has the best stat distribution out of the 4 Crocolisks, but any of them will work.


Seeker Zusshi

- Rip > Blood in the Water > Surge until Diamond dies
vs Mollus
- Rip > Surge (you should die at this point, but if you are still alive, do the following: ) > Blood in the water > Surge until Snarly dies
- Switch to Carry pet > switch to Vampiric Batling > Bite until Mollus dies
vs Skimmer
- Reckless Strike > Bite > Reckless Strike

- Notes: Snarly has the best stat distribution out of the 4 Crocolisks, but any of them will work. If you don't have a Vampiric Batling, a Bat [4] (1,2,1) should work just fine, as long as you don't miss any strike.


Wastewalker Shu

Blood Knight Antari
14 rounds
1: Scourged Whelpling [6] (2,2,1)

3: Flayer Youngling [5] (1,2,1)

vs Arcanus
- Death and Decay > Tail Sweep until Arcanus dies
vs Jadefire
- Tail Sweep until your Scourged Whelpling dies > Plagued Blood on your resurrection turn
- Switch to Carry pet > switch to Flayer Youngling
- Blitz until Jadefire dies (Deflection if Conflagrate is up)
vs Netherbite
- Deflection when Netherbite is under Phase Shift
- Kick when up, Blitz otherwise

- Notes: You will have a very hard time collecting a rare version of Flayer Youngling [5] and Scourged Whelpling [6]. I suggest you to collect them when you happen to find one with the correct breed, whatever the rarity. You will then be able to upgrade them to Uncommon rarity with ease with two Polished Battle Stones, which will be more than enough to defeat Blood Knight Antari.


Major Payne

1: Carry pet (Needs 500 HP to survive)

- Notes: Grasslands Cottontail [5] is the only variant of rabbit with this stat distribution. I strongly recommand you to avoid any other rabbit/breed for this fight.


Bordin Steadyfist

- Rip > Blood in the Water > Surge until Ruby dies

vs Fezwick
- Decoy > Breath until Fezwick has 560HP or less > Explode

- Notes: your Carry pet doesn't need to participate, as he will be the only one left alive at the end of the fight and will thus receive his xp. If you are stunned against Honky-Tonk's Shock and Awe (will happen once every 4 fights), you may need to reload the fight. Even though the Zeppelin has a super effective move against Fezwick (Missile), Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling is still better here, because it is faster and will always play first.


Beasts of Fable
6 rounds
1: [pet]Unborn Val'kyr[/pet] [?] (1,2,2)
2: Pandaren Water Spirit [-] (1,2,2)
3: Chrominius [-] (1,1,2)

This is my generic team, which should work well against the majority of the BoF. The goal of this team is to set up a mix of bombs which will detonate on the same turn, under a Howl (+100% damage). You will deliver 100% of your damage at the same time: this way, the enemies won't be able to react and mitigate the damage with their powerful heals.

This strategy should grant you a kill on turn 6 or 7.

Round 1: Unholy Ascension
Your Unborn Val'kyr resurrects
Round 2: Curse of Doom
Your Unborn Val'kyr dies
Switch to Pandaren water spirit
Round 3: Geyser
Round 4: Whirlpool
Round 5: Switch to Chrominius
Round 6: Howl
At the end of this turn, Curse of Doom, Geyser and Whirlpool detonate at the same time with a +125% boost (25% from Unholy Ascension and 100% from Howl). The enemy takes a truckload of damage and is stunned.
Round 7: Surge of Power if the enemy is still alive

- Notes: For Dos-Ryga, cast some Shadow Slashes, then proceed as explained above (Unholy ascension > Curse of doom > etc...). The goal is to stall for a bit with the Shadow Slashes to have the enemy's Whirlpool detonate on your Val'kyr's last turn instead of your Pandaren water spirit. This team doesn't work against No-No. I advise you to use Yellow Moth [4] (2,1,2) and Bat [4] (1,2,1) instead of Unborn Val'kyr and Pandaren Water Spirit against him.

If you would add a small amendment to the tactics.
It's about Farmer Nishi. I think it is good to raise the level pet on the occasion of the fight with the coach, but you'd better pick up as two pets :mrgreen:

2 Emperor Crab (2,1,1) (I do not understand the idea of ​​"breed" sry :cry: , EC Stats: 1806, 292, 211)

long but it works :D
Siren beats 150-170 dmg can do 1lvl pets

the same set of works on trainer in Winterspring and Deadwind Pass

Similar to Sarmik's approach, I use two carry pets (usually higher than level 7) with a Jade Oozeling (breed 4, p/p) with the skillset - 2, 1, 2 on Farmer Nishi.

Against sunflower:
- Carry pet #1
- Carry pet #2
- Jade Oozeling, Acidic Goo
- Corrosion
Then Absorb until dots fall off, and reapply as necessary+Absorb until the sunflower is defeated.

Against turnip:
- Acidic Goo once the turnip comes up
- Corrosion
Then Absorb until dots fall off, and reapply as necessary+Absorb until the turnip is defeated.

Against silkworm:
- Acidic Goo
- Pass since it will be underground
- Absorb
- Acidic Goo
- Corrosion
Then Absorb until the end.

It's not the most elegant strat, and RNG can ruin my gameplan, but I think that applies to most strats.:P

also nicely :)
but Crab by treatment allows for lower lvl pets, but it takes a long time because Crab beating like a rag :)
and may need additional swap two small pets for treatment while living Siren

Quintessence, when you use two carry pets, what level are they are and how much experience do they get? For Nishi, I try to use a level 10-13 because they seem to get the max xp from the Pandaria dailies, at 5225xp with the Safari Hat. (It was like 62xx with the Lesser Pet Treat buff, but I am not specifically using those on tamers because of the travel time right now.)

I find I can make the rounds of Pandaria in < 2 hours thus only use 2 treats. Since you get three (at least) per day it is a net win.

I usually start in Halfhill (tend my farm) with Nishi and use Tom Tom to get me to the next battle.

- Added number of rounds required to defeat each tamer
- Added a generic team for the Beasts of Fable
- New team for Whispering Pandaren Spirit (16 rounds now instead of 24 rounds with the previous team)
- New team for Wastewalker Shu (14 rounds now instead of 24 rounds with the previous team)

I update the original post quite frequently (whenever I happen to find a better team for a specific tamer). Check regularly to keep up with the latest (and best) strats 8-) .

If you have better setups than mine, please share! Whenever I use a setup with low dmg or survival abilities hampering my damage, I am especially interested in tips about what I can do or other pets I can use to finish the battle faster (but still very reliably). The two teams I'm trying to improve at the moment are Thundering Pandaren Spirit (27 rounds atm, which is awfully slow) and Major Payne (the team is not as reliable as I would like, and 22 rounds is a bit slow).

I'm not a native English speaker. If you notice any grammatical error or anything awkward in the original post, please let me know :) .
Similar to Sarmik's approach, I use two carry pets (usually higher than level 7) with a Jade Oozeling (breed 4, p/p) with the skillset - 2, 1, 2 on Farmer Nishi.

Against sunflower:
- Carry pet #1
- Carry pet #2
- Jade Oozeling, Acidic Goo
- Corrosion
Then Absorb until dots fall off, and reapply as necessary+Absorb until the sunflower is defeated.

Against turnip:
- Acidic Goo once the turnip comes up
- Corrosion
Then Absorb until dots fall off, and reapply as necessary+Absorb until the turnip is defeated.

Against silkworm:
- Acidic Goo
- Pass since it will be underground
- Absorb
- Acidic Goo
- Corrosion
Then Absorb until the end.

It's not the most elegant strat, and RNG can ruin my gameplan, but I think that applies to most strats.
With the recent nerf to Corrosion, I found the oozes to be quite ineffiecient. And with no way to change the weather, Siren will regen like crazy. An interesting strategy for sure (there aren't many 2-CarryPets strats around), but a slow kill (around 30 rounds ?).

Thanks for this, it looks like a pretty good guide!

My only comment is on Aki. I have much better luck using:

1. carry pet
2. Anubisath Idol (1,1,1)
3. Guardian Cub (1,1,1)

It's a slow grind against the critter, but with Sandstorm up you won't take any damage from it. Make sure to have Reflection and Sandstorm available when the cricket goes down. Reflect first turn against the dragon, then change the weather back to Sandstorm. Crush is strong vs. the dragon, so he goes down fast. Then I usually keep hitting the otter with the Idol until he dies, and the Guardian Cub mops up the otter with strong flying attacks. Really, any flyer here will work.

After a few atempts with this team, went back to my Emerald/Carry/Onyxian Whelpling. It's reliable since this comp can recover from asleep instead of forfeiting for better luck and not that slower.

Had to forfeit a lot thx to falling asleep (not that rare hehehe) and even when that didn't happen, Chrominius didn't survive to use Surge of Power on Whispertail and Snarly was just destroyed without mercy by Whispertail.

It's random, really. Since I'm not super concerned with what's most efficient, I usually pick pets that interest me (in terms of battling ability/looks). I've found that most pets above level 6-7 can survive through two bursts of Sunlight from the sunflower, so I usually aim for that range to start, but the level range can vary from day to day. Sometimes I'll use two level 14s, while another day I'll use two level 10s.

Yea, I can definitely feel the difference when using the Jade Oozeling for this fight, compared to pre-5.3. Takes longer for each pet to die, except for the silkworm. It dies in the same amount of turns as previously.

Tested the Wastewalker Shu team.

Really good and looks like it's faster than my old one (Efferverscent Glowfly 2,2,2/Emperor Crab 2,1,2/Carry pet).

The only problem is that a missed attack is kinda devastating to the strat. And Pounder love to help it with the hit penalty from his weather. :(

But it looks so fast and fluid that it's worth the few times you could miss and get defeated :)

It was a thorn in my side to have a guide I didn't manage to keep up to date.
Nice job, and good to see so many improvements and people contributing with pet battle theorycrafting/minmaxing! :D

Btw: I remember my Nish-fights the most.

Round 1: carry pet [attack]
2: switch to Eternal Strider (the breed is ideal; sufficient speed without wasting attack by having unnecessarily high speed - goes first vs siren and toothbreaker)
3: [cleansing rain]
4: [pump]
5: [water jet]
6: [water jet]
7: [water jet] (think siren dies this turn)
8: vs toothbreaker [pump] (you go before toothbreaker, meaning you get to hit him hard before he burrows)
9: [cleansing rain]
10: [pump]
11: [water jet] (think he dies - unless you need to water jet him again. Save the pump-attack for the grub)
12: vs grub [pump] (grub goes first and poisons you; you hit him hard with pump)
13: [pump] (he burrows before you can make your action that turn, and you spend it charging pump instead of wasting an attack or unnecessarily use cleansing rain)
14: [pump] (you should survive the burrow-hit, and you respond by nuking him again with pump - which should kill him)

The tonk usually never sees any play, because the strider will take care of the whole team. When RNG ends with your strider dying from the grub's burrow, the tonk then steps in to ion cannon that grub to kingdom come.

That is what I remember doing. The strat revolves around the tactical use of pump, and using pump when you can't hit because of the enemy burrowing.

Would be interesting to see your findings by testing this strat. Might be that it doesn't work like I remember though.

I've been using this strategy for months and it's never failed me. Even missing an attack or two will only delay your victory by a turn or two.

Just wanted to post a few things that work for me. I have a few others that I'll list some other time, but mine seem very reliable for me anyways.

Aki
1. Carry Pet
2. Anubisath Idol (1,2,1)
3. Yellow Moth (1,1,2)

Let carry pet take the first hit then switch to idol. Shield & crush until first pet is dead. Refresh shield when 1 round left. Deflect lightning storm. Refresh shield when 1 round left. 3 crushes should kill Stormlash. Refresh shield, deflect dive and crush the last one. Shield the round after he uses survival. Most likely you will not even use the moth.

Yon
1. Carry Pet
2. Anubisath Idol (2,2,1)
3. Any Mechanical will do. You most likely won't use.

Carry pet absorbs he first hit. Swap to idol. Deflect then shield. Demolish until the bird adds debuff. Shield then deflect, then demolish. Repeat until he's dead. For the rabbit, shield on second round, deflect the burrow and demolish until the shield falls off and repeat. For the goat, shield, deflect the chewing and demolish until dead. Your idol will probably be about 2/3 health.

Hyuna
1. Celestial Dragon (1,1,1)
2. Carry pet any level
3. Raven (2,1,2) (I think that's the order). Can also sub a darkmoon crow.

Moonfire, and flamethrower twice. Heal and flamethrower again, this will finish the firefly with dragon buff up. Moonfire, skip next round, heal. Flamethrower, moon fire and heal until the snake is dead. The turtles headbutt should kill the dragon. Swap carry then right to raven. Darkness, nocturnal strike, then alpha strike until nocturnal/darkness are up. With darkness reducing the heals, the Rutledge goes down in short order.

These three are very reliable, especially the first two, where misses won't screw up the attempt. Or I should say, it's damn near impossible to screw it up.

I'll post others that work well later.

With the amount of xp from tamer battles compared to wild battles, it's definitely worth using your treats on them. I bypass all the legendary pets on my xp run and I can do all the Pandaria tamer battles in ~1hr, sometimes if I have bad rng my buff runs out just before whispering. As GilroyKilroy said, you get 3x 25% xp treats per day so doing the full run in under 2hrs is fine with them, but I would suggest it's worth doing my way for a 1hr circuit with your once-a-week 50% xp treat from the weekly 10 PVP battle quest.

Thanks Phraide - great guide again. Especially the tactic vs the Beasts of Fable is awsome.

Vs the whispering pandaren spirit I still use the green Protowelp from your 5.2 guide, but as 2nd 25 Pet I use the Lifelike Toad, as it has a good attack vs the last oponent. Very reliable tactic and if not really unlucky pretty quick too.

Vs No-No your setup vs all Beasts of Fable is pretty unreliable due to the many dodge abilities of No-No. I suggest the lame tactic with a cocroach (122). Just make sure the speed is 310+ to have first attack. Cast Apocalypse, then change to 2nd pet (suggest turkey with Coma) and just sit out 10 rounds until apocalypse hits.

Trying Major Payne team right now...

Can't manage to reach the HP range to use Ion Cannon...

Even when Grizzle opens with the stun on my carry pet.

(and some stupid bad RNG that my Tonk' missels misses so much... 90% hit chance... ok... lol)

But even without a single miss... when I use minefield, Tonk is almost dead, then Grizzle goes hirbenate, never reaches the Ion Cannon range, wake up with a stun and it's over.

Edit: Finally got it, looks like it's heavy rng based. But as soon as you deal with Grizzle, the others are easy.
