Does anyone else think it's a little strange that you have several pets in the game which represent real animals named after places in the real world, when those places don't exist in the WoW-verse?
These are the examples I can think of off-hand:
Maine Coon (now changed to Black Tabby because people wrongly thought the name was a racial slur)
Bombay cat
Cornish Rex cat
Siamese cat
Senegal
Malayan Quillrat
Szechuan Chicken (this one is obviously a joke. Szechuan chicken is a dish cooked in the style of Sichuan Province, not a breed of animal)
Hardly a big deal, but I thought it was interesting.

Being from Maine, I would of loved to see a Maine Coon Cat.
