Lashtail Hatchling Quests

Does anyone know how to get the quest "An Old Friend" that allows one to get the "yourname 'Aka" Lashtail Hatchling pet? I completed the Stanglethorn quest chain through "Be Raptor" and its turn-in, but the quest giver did not offer me the Troll raid quest "An Old Friend". My guild is planning a run for the pet, but I do not want to do the raid without the final quest. My toon is a 90, so I know it is not a leveling problem. Any help is welcome!

You get the last quest when you do the instance. It is the quest itself that awards the pet.

^ what Maizing said =D. It's super cute. You just need to kill the guy with the raptor bone pet, (the one in the circle where someone gets sacrificed throughout the battle, but the spirits rez you). She'll pop up after the battle... =D

Thank you! So, I think I understand..I will be able to pick up the quest when I actually enter the raid instance...I assume its available at the entry to the instance, like the quests in a regular dungeon? Or does the quest just appear on the pet after I kill the last guy?

No. After you kill the boss, you will see your raptor chained up with a quest available. Complete it and yes yours.
