Moonfang at the Darkmoon Faire

Darkmoon Faire is comming in not too long now, and I found this interesting bit on Wowhead.

Moonfang is summoned by killing Moonfang Snarlers. When enough have been killed, Moonfang Dreadhowls will spawn, and after slaughtering enough, Moonfang will appear to tackle your raid.


Sounds to me that Moonfang will not be remotely as rare as the Darkmoon Rabbit, since players can actively work to spawn it.

Edit: From what Im hearing, the Moonfang mount is supposedly -ONLY- useable during Darkmoon Faire, further hinting to her being a far more common boss.

This will be interesting on PvP realms. Also, do you know if someone else can tap your spawn?

Or, maybe, be tap-less like the Island rares. Wishful thinking probably, but you never know.

Hopefully they'll stick to shared tapping for all rares in the future. With some luck they'll even revisit the old ones. The island would have been insufferable using the standard loot mechanics.

Tooltip in game does confirm the "mount" is only useable during the faire. That does suck. Hopefully the pet won't be too hard to get like the rabbit was and the eye is.
