Any Scary Sprite insights?

It's maddening that the Scary Sprites go friendly when the 1 minute is up.

Considering this content has been freely available for 2 weeks now, there are far too few of these on AHs. I highly doubt they're meant to be quite so rare. On the bright side though, it's an easily accessible event that people will jump on even after they get their Frolicker, so supply should continually trickle in for however long Timeless Isle stays available (ie not like Viscous Horror).

Did it again last night, after getting the tournament out the way. Spawned 4 scaries, no pet. I think they need to _really_ look into this

Today I was ganked for a bloody coin right after I spawned the scary sprite. I was pretty upset.

It's been buffed. Seen it spawn six times in an hour and a half, with Scary's spawning more frequently and with less HP. Good luck!

Yup, a very large buff in the hotfix. 10-15 minute respawns on the crystal and upped spawns on scaries during the event.

Yay, awesome stuff! Still no pet for me, but it felt so much more rewarding seeing all of those Scary Sprites pop up during the event.

With a higher spawn rate on the crystal, hopefully that means more chances to go around for everyone. Good luck all!

Scary sprites are spawning all over the place. I got nine today, up from seeing a total of one over the past few days. Still no pet, but at least now it's realistic to hope to ever get one.

Is it still once a day per character?

I haven't had a chance to try it out post-hotfix, but I was able to hit the Spritewood on 3 of my heavy AE characters back to back every 15 mins, got about 7 scaries per character and finally got my pet.

Huh, that is sure going to sink the value of this pet fast. I LOL at those whom traded spectral cubs and the likes for it.

Though where was this hotfix listed? I dont see it mentioned in the notes.

I camped it from midnight until the 5:24a spawn, and I can honestly say this is a huge improvement. It's not exactly on a clockwork schedule, but I could safely say any time between 14 and 15 minutes from the last one, it'd be spawning again.

Still once a day, and this is why you don't over-value a pet early on in a patch!

I did wonder if anything was up, got -FIVE- scary sprites this morning.

and just to point out.. if you group with someone, you can loot the scary sprites even though all you can do is heal the person. so you aren´t limited to just 1 attempt per day.

And just to point out the obvious, but since it's so much easier to get now, the price is dropping like a rock. Don't overpay for this! The decrease in rarity is massive; this pet is going to end up below 20k very quickly (on Illidan(H) and similar servers).

I just bought a level 23 on Proudmoore Alliance for 44k and was so happy...then I remembered this thread and read that it had been buffed. I don't have a lot of time right now for farming though, so I'll just be happy that I have one less pet to get now!
