Only about a week-8 days. Just do the dailies and you have it. Wasn't long ago I did this on my 90 Belf rogue. Super easy as a 90.

However expect to use a LOT more time if you want to unlock its full use. It requires every city championed, and exalted with argent crusade and all home cities to get the Crusader rank, and you will need 150 seals to buy the argent pony briddle.

That allows on a 4h cd, the Squire/Gruntling to perform Trader/Mail/Bank access for a few minutes. But only characters whom have purchased the item can use his extra functions.

Just got mine on Saturday. Three days of dailies to prove you won't fall off the horse, and then five days to prove you can be a champion. Believe the 3rd day of round 1 and the 1st day of round 2 can be done on the same day. I started at 77, was 79 by the time I was done. Hope you like jousting!
