On day 1 of MoP, somebody put a Crawling Claw up for 58k. I thought long and hard about it, since I'd ground out way too many Tol'vir solves and was sick of it. Then somebody else put up Ethereal Soul-Trader for 58k and I bought that instead.

On the flip side, I have some bad overpays too. The first Droplet of Y'Shaarj I saw was 65k, and I jumped on it, because I assumed it would be similar in rarity to Viscous Horror. Oops! I also bought the first 'cheap' Spectral Tiger Cub I saw: 180k for a level 6. In retrospect, it was obviously a dupe -- if only I'd known, I could have saved 100k by waiting a month!

Although, not as lucky as some, I got my [pet]Viscous Horror[/pet] 'fairly' cheap for 50k. I'm on a very popular server and not even there have I seen the pet pop up on the AH more than 3-4 times. And when it did, it was usually between 120-160k so 50k was a bargain

I was very happy to pick up a Viscous Horror on the Latin American server Ragnaros for 30,000g - although it did cost me $25 for the server transfer to get it.

The best deal i got from the AH was buying [pet]Son of Animus[/pet], [pet]Living Sandling[/pet] and [pet]Living Fluid[/pet] for 5g each. Yes, 5 gold each. Don't know if it was intended or not (they are very expensive on my server), but i was really glad to finally add them to my collection.

To this day my greatest buy is a Hyacinth Macaw for 100g- after i gave the drop i got while doing the cataclysm loremaster achievments to my sister.

Back in TBC, I got a Hyacinth Macaw on the AH for 200g. Just recently, I bought a Gulp Froglet for 500g on my main server, flipped it on Proudmoore for 4500g and then found a P/P Gooey Sha-ling for 4k on Proudmoore.

Last night I finally saw a Droplet of Y'Shaarj in the AH. Got it for 7K, which was a lot less than I was willing to pay.

No idea what's going on on my server but I just picked up a Living Sandling for 1500g. The seller has thrown up a whole ton of pets for pretty cheap. It's a lvl 1 char and it is selling a Magical Crawdad for 888g. Craziness

It might be someone who just started on your server and wants to build some quick capital--pets are probably the most convenient way to shuttle gold between servers. Or, it might be someone who had pets lying around and just discovered that they could be caged and sold. Sometimes people don't know the value of the pet they're selling, but I've bought a lot of pets where they do know but they don't care. They just want to flip it for gold quickly, even if it's at a steep discount.

Just bought a [pet]Dragon Kite[/pet] for 35k. Seems like a good deal.

On a slightly smaller scale, I also picked up a [pet]Giant Sewer Rat[/pet] for 400g.

I just picked up a Gilean Raven for 1g. Looked like it was put up with the default bit and no buy and that was as high as it got on bidding. It was just a standard b/b breed and uncommon quality but still a good deal.

Just got a pre-stoned S/S [pet]Gilnean Raven[/pet] for 8.5k. Seems like a good price for something that's no longer obtainable.

Paid 1500 g for each of mine. 100g for a bling *( then it dropped for me lol )

Also picked up a Jade Owl for 500g. I've been trying to learn that pattern every day on my JC and of course once I bought the owl I did my daily and the pattern popped

Eying off some Gooey Sha-lings atm which seem to be in a price war sub-3k. Might buy 2 and resell one.

Having an awesome time from the BMAH though - Bananas - 17k, sold for 80k. Waiting to see if my others go for similar

Way back in BC, I got my Dark Whelpling for something like 250 gold. More recently, I picked up a Crawling Claw for 10k.

I sold a Gilnean Raven for only 75 gold, before they were all B/B. Still feel dumb about that. But I sold a Phoenix Hatchling (the drop from Magister's) for 7k, so maybe they even out?

Best deal to date:: 4k for Rocket Chicken. I had no gold on the Alliance so we paid a friend with an Alliance alt an extra 2k to buy it off the AH for me and trade it over on Horde (so 6k for Rocket Chicken).
