It's the Argent Squire and Argent Gruntling. I see both of mine as rare now. I was hoping the others would but guess not, I don't have them stoned yet (except squire/grunt).

You bet shin
Re: Argent Squire, Gruntling, etc showing as rare
This was an experimental change on our end to address the longstanding bug in the Armory that shows these pets as rare (due to their items being rare, not their actual qualities) when they are only uncommon. Even after using a stone on these pets, the Armory still sends the data as them being "uncommon." So this change addresses that.
Note that everyone's Gruntlings and Squires now show as rare, regardless of their in-game quality. So everyone is getting the boon regardless of whether they've used a stone. We know that's not entirely fair, but it's the only way we've found to address the bug on our end.
We may make a similar change with other non-rare noncombat pets in order to allow players to see these pets as rares and enjoy the slight uptick in their scores.
Your feedback (good or bad) regarding this change is welcome.

Re: Argent Squire, Gruntling, etc showing as rare
Thanks for following up on this.
I'd be in favor of seeing all non-battle pets being treated this way. While it's true there will be disparity between the Armory and WCP, most of us use WCP to track what we have already accomplished versus what we haven't yet gotten to. As things stand now, there's nothing we can ever do to change those last 11 (now 9 with the argent changes) non-battle pets to rare. From a tracking standpoint, it's more helpful to see these marked as rare right from the point you add them to your collection.
I don't think it has a real impact on score either. Yes, we're talking about as many as 11 points, but none of these are TCG, limited availability, or "real money" pets... anyone willing to spend the time and gold can get all 11, so that doesn't seem like an unfair advantage.
Just my two cents. Thanks for asking!

My only green-to-me pet is the [pet]Sky Lantern[/pet] ( Blizzard bug), everything else is blue. I would like my stats to say 100% rare instead of 98.5%

If I recall, the sky lantern was bugged from the start. Someone correct me if it's changed by now, but when it first came out you had to add it manually to your collection. That probably has something to do with its quality not showing up.Stellara wrote:My opinion exactly!GilroyKilroy wrote:My only green-to-me pet is the [pet]Sky Lantern[/pet] ( Blizzard bug), everything else is blue. I think this is really nice for us that like to see 100%'s. For the other pets could it be possible to have a check box to click if its rare just like on the general info tab for each pet that can be clicked to show that its been collected.Breanni wrote: Your feedback (good or bad) regarding this change is welcome.
Re: Argent Squire, Gruntling, etc showing as rare
Sky Lantern is still "broken" and at this point I'm just hoping it'll get fixed for WoD.
I wouldn't mind the option of a checkbox to "upgrade" the non-combat pets that are upgradeable, but until the Sky Lantern is fixed it would still be impossible to get 100% rare with that pet in your collection.
The whole "wall of blue" thing is really for myself anyhow. I like seeing it when I open my pet journal!
