I used fishing dailies and DFM quests to level mine up when they were too low. If you haven't already done so, there is a fishing quest in Halfhill, that lets you fish without need to schlep around a pole. That guy will also tell you where extra nodes of fish are every day. I use him to find those for a better chance of getting the Nat Pagle special fish. (I HATE that rep grind, btw), but those nodes should help you get your fishing up in no time!

Yea, I did the Angler grind and then got pretty burned out on daily fishing quests. Didn't know about the guy in Halfhill, I'll have to check into that. Just need to find some desire to get back into daily fishing grinding again.

I finally got off my butt and levelled my Brawlers to get the [pet]Clock'em[/pet] pet!

The guy in Halfhill is down by the river on the Halfhill side after you cross the bridge into town. He'll even mark your map as to where to go for the daily swarms. You can usually grab a stack or two before getting the rare fish for Nat. So you can make a bit of gold off them or trade them in for Ironpaw Tokens.

I just got my 50 PVP pet battle achievements and I'm so happy! But then I remembered that I've only done the PVP battles when I had the weekly up, and I'd only turned that stupid quest in three times so that was a good 20 PVP battles that the buggy quest didn't count. ;_;

Ding 3k score in the old scoring system.

I got the Argent Squire recently and just go my first RAF pet today which should have put me over 3k on the old scoring system. Now I'm working on 3.5k on the new scoring system which should be possible if I can get the 3 remaining RAF pets and a couple other pets I consider possible at this point (either the 2 current DD pets or the pvp pet) as I should need 5 more pets to get there.

I think it makes perfect sense. In the old scoring system 3k was a nice round number that also indicated a pretty impressive collection as it required almost everything you could get short of CE/Blizzcon pets which can be some of the toughest pets to get, especially the older ones. Higher was possible with all those pets but pretty rare.

The new scoring system added almost 500 more points for leveling pets so that made 3k much easier to get so it isn't as significant in the new scoring system and as you noted a lot more people have it now. 3.5k is now the mark to hit that is a nice round number and an indicator of a pretty complete collection. It also ends up being just a little bit harder to get than 3k because it requires about half a dozen more pets to get. I'm closing in on that one too and hope to hit it before WoD comes out because that will add a bunch of new pets and will move the mark again.

It's normal for people to like round numbers and to use them as milestones or markers to judge by.

I completely disagree on the number. I was almost at 3k and now am no where near it and I have more pets (or will as soon as my RAFs get delivered) than all but about 250 people on this site. Yet no where near 3500. There's a bad disconnect in there.

Yay! This morning I finished collecting my last Celestial pet for the Celestial Family achievement.

Now I'm debating the point of continuing this maddening tournament each week.

Well, If you are trying to level all your pets to 25 the 50% pet treat is not a bad thing or a marked flawless every three weeks. I've kept doing it because it wasn't hard for me and it does give decent VP for completing it.

Today exceeded 1000 pet bandages acc-wide!!, my pet levelling uses fewer bandages than the dailies produce, shame i cant pass them to others;(
My levelling Hunter reached 85 (hes been levelling on pet battles since 35, in 4winds heartland, and the aquatics by no-no in the vale).
Also snatched 1st place on earthen ring from the alliance, but only because the ally player above me disappeared, inactivity I guess, so I wont consider it a real 1st place till Ive covered the 120points he was ahead by, he might come back!

Well, now that it's "summer" time, I managed to finally get that [url=http://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/humanoid/miscellaneous/qiraji-guardling/]Qiraji Gaurdling[/url], which was all I needed for [url=http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=6590]World Safari[/url]. I also got my [url=http://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/elemental/miscellaneous/spirit-of-summer/]Spirit of Summer[/url]. Still working on the [url=http://www.warcraftpets.com/wow-pets/elemental/elementals/frigid-frostling/]Frigid Frostling[/url] though.

I got my Qi a couple of days ago, so I have my Zookeeper title. Now to continue to grind out pvp battles *shudder*...managed to exchange a couple of wild greens for blues in the past few days as well. Working on trying to get my Frigid Frostling too. And get enough blossoms on my toons to buy some scorchlings to sell on the AH. Flying for 11 alts is REALLY expensive, especially since Duskwood's recent server merge with Bloodhoof didn't fix our crappy economy!

I thought about going after more blossoms to AH extra pets, but this week is crazy busy for me with our big race looming Friday/Saturday. So I'm gonna have to skip that stuff this time.

Have 4 guild banks with 6 tabs full of pets.


New goal is to create a bank tab full of BOE flawless stones...
