During a recent battle, my opponent used Apocalypse. The battle proceeded to where I had only a Death Adder left facing an Emerald Proto-Whelp with a Beetle in the wings. The Whelp had just fully healed from Emerald Dream when the Apocalypse hit, killing the Whelp but not my Adder.
I almost felt bad winning that one....

[ability]Apocalypse[/ability] can be dodged now? Wasn't that damage that couldn't be blocked before? I remember it saying that.

I dodged it last time it was played against me also.

Apocalypse have dodgy mechanics. It will appearently only hit if the caster is active on the turn it lands.

Do you mean if the beetle is active, or if the player who's pet cast it is active?Luciandk wrote:Apocalypse have dodgy mechanics. It will appearently only hit if the caster is active on the turn it lands.

The beetle whom cast Apocalypse has to be alive and the active pet when apocalpyse lands, for it not to be a dud. Thats my understanding of it.Kel wrote:Do you mean if the beetle is active, or if the player who's pet cast it is active?Luciandk wrote:Apocalypse have dodgy mechanics. Then why would it kill the opponent's pet and not yours too? I'm confused.Luciandk wrote:The beetle whom cast Apocalypse has to be alive and the active pet when apocalpyse lands, for it not to be a dud. Thats my understanding of it.

Wow, so this ability is even more useless than I first thought...Luciandk wrote:The beetle whom cast Apocalypse has to be alive and the active pet when apocalpyse lands, for it not to be a dud. Re: I would have liked to have seen their face
I think its a bug introduced at some point, as it did use to work without requiring the original pet to be up and active. But it sounds like the ability is going to be changed. Then nerfed. Then bugged again....
