I can't figure out the Nordarissil (sp?) Wisp and how to beat it. Just seems blind on CD and spam arcane explosion. Coupled to a magic pet's survivability I'm having a hard time figuring this one out. Any advice?
Thanks in advance.
How to beat the Wips
Re: How to beat the Wips
Dragons with tail wipe do great damage to magic types.
Also a dragon with liftoff it timed right can avoid blind or at least avoid the double hit move.
Also pets with blinds, dodges, burrows that are faster can avoid it like death addler, spring rabbit, Flayer youngling.
Finally pets with bubbles or decoys like gulplet frog, ruby droplet, pandarian dragonling or darkmoon zeppelin .
Lastly you could suck up the blind on one pet then switch to another one right after the blind hits.

Sunreaver Micro-Sentry has Laser with 200% hit chance so Blind doesn't affect it. Mechanical also take reduced damage from Magic. Use Supercharge together with Laser for additional damage.

This is a really good method of dealing with combos that build on each other. Soak it up on one and let another take the lesser blow.Digem wrote:Lastly you could suck up the blind on one pet then switch to another one right after the blind hits.
Re: How to beat the Wips
Mechanical Pandaren Dragonling eats all magic pets easily, being mechanical pet with spammable dragonkin attack.
Re: How to beat the Wips
Nothing fancy is needed to beat a Wisp. Any crab with [ability]Shell Shield[/ability] and a heal will whittle down a Wisp easily, albeit slowly due to misses. Wisps have very little offensive pressure, and the little that they have from [ability]Light[/ability] is made manageable with the shield negation. Same can be said for [ability]Sandstorm[/ability] pets, but the SS accuracy reduction will make the miss-fest even worse. Figure the best time to attack, and the best time to buff. For example, when blind, it is a great time to SS/Heal. Attack on the two rounds when Blind is not on you. Rinse, repeat. If you both come in fresh, make sure that Shell Shield is your first move as the opponent is almost guaranteed to lead of with [ability]Flash[/ability] -> [ability]Light[/ability] so you want SS going to take the brunt of the dmg. I would say that [pet]Emerald Whelpling[/pet] running with [ability]Emerald Presence[/ability] and [ability]Tranquility[/ability] would work just as well, or even better if you happen to be running with [ability]Breath[/ability] as it's main attack.

Re: How to beat the Wips
Is this a PvP or wild pet battle question?
You seem to be getting advice for both, and you have not made it clear what advice you need.
