No more "wild battle" stones??

I've been doing a lot of leveling against wild pet mobs and lately, and I just realized I can't remember the last time a wild pet battle gave me a stone. Did they do away with wild battle stones, or am I just unlucky? I know that PVP battles still generate stones--at least the all-but-useless uncommon stones anyway.

Wild battles still do give stones- I got a few thursday night leveling off Summit Kids in Kun-lai.

They have a very, very, very, very, very low drop rate in wild pet battles.

How low is the droprate supposed to be? I did about 20 pet battles to help my pally go from 89->90 once I realized they gave 10k exp each without rested, and got 2 stones in that time >:D Could've just been some solid luck on my side though.

If i had to guess a drop rate i'd say 2% or so chance on wild pets

I'd say SUBSTANTIALLY less than 2%. I have a toon at level 49 right now that's been leveled exclusively by pet battling pets in Pandaria and I've only got 5 stones on it currently. I've battled far more than 250 pets with that toon, more likely more than 1000

I leveled three toons from level 5 to 90 in four winds. I think I got a total of around 15 stones total in that time. Keep in mind, I leveled ALL of my pets during that time too. 2% is way too high imo.

i get at least one a day from wild pet battle levelling.....usually critter

Yeah, I agree. They have about a 3% chance of dropping from the daily bags and I've found the drop rate on wild battles to be much, much lower than that. Especially the unmarked blue ones. I've done thousands of battles and only received like 3 of those. Well, they don't go for 5k on the AH because they drop like crazy, right? XD

flawless stones can be sold?! i didnt know that....ive only got one from wild battle drops and since i have so many others i dont really need it.

i wonder if it would fetch more on a low pop or high pop server?

Only this item Flawless Battle-Stone can be sold on the AH. All of the other types are BoP.

I can attest to the random and horrible drop rate for these stones especially in wild pet battles.
I leveled 8 toons to 90 doing wild pet battles and got maybe a dozen or so stones.
in that time I leveled all my pets too.
I then wanted to level another toon and some of my extra pets.
this next toon got 24 stones all by himself on the way to 90.
so it is nothing but complete RNG and that is/can be very evil and vindictive mistress.
