Oromu / Orumo the Observer, anyone want to group up?

This is the first time I've seen him up on my realm and I know it's the worst day to try and assemble a group, but I figure folks here would be interested... anyhow, would anyone like to group up for a shot at the pet? It takes 5 people to unlock him but the pet is personal loot so everyone gets a shot at it.

Looking for 2 dps and a healer. Must be alliance (sorry I don't have a max level horde yet), US server, level 100 and able to get yourself out to his spawn point. Won't be able to go until later tonight, because I have an entire dinner to cook.

EDIT: Killed it, nothin', will try again another day.

i would advise you to do what i do (did him 4 times already) and queue for it while looking for ppl in general. also, you woudlt need a healer, just tell everyone to spam artilley and he will be down in about 10 seconds

Main problem is today being Thanksgiving... there's not a lot of folks on (or I would've already dragged my guild into this). And I'll be in the kitchen on and off for hours myself. So was hoping to have something preplanned...

Well, if I can't get it done today I'll just keep a closer eye on his spawn area from here on out.

orumo (and also demidos) spawn everytime your realm have either Assault on shattarah or Assault on Socrethar's Rise (where they spawn). so by taking the daily you can tell which rares are up each day.

Unfortunately not always, I've seen the Assault dailies up and these not spawn, and I've seen these spawn without the assault dailies

Is it possible to win Eye of Observation if you lose the first time?
I know some of those mobs when they drop their loot the 620 armor for example, if you lose, you will not have a chance at getting that loot again. Is it the same for the pet? Or can you win the pet multiple times on one character?

The elite rares in the daily areas like Orumo and Demidos are able to be killed 1 time a day, so yes if you lose today you can always try tomorrow

This was the case yesterday for me, there was no daily there and that plus holiday led to very few players in the area.

1. the other faction (horde/alli) have different dailies than you most of the time to avoid too many people on the same place.
2. it is possible that someone beat you to it. unlike the other rares that spawn in a matter of moments i think they have a longer spawn rate possibly even once a day.

1. True... I don't know what the other faction dailies are. That's a good point.
2. His spawn timer does seem much longer than most of the current rares. Though I couldn't just sit there for hours after I killed it I went afk on and off for a while, just sitting at the spawn area. I did not see him respawn for over 2 hrs, finally got booted from being afk, but when I finally logged back in (over 3 hrs later) he was back up.
