The rare creature that drops this pet can only spawn when Mylune appears at the Mechagon Island main quest hub with the daily quest Aid from Nordrassil. Picking up this daily quest provides a quest item that can be used on small mushrooms in The Fleeting Forest. Interacting with the mushrooms will spawn hostile mobs and eventually the rare spawn.

Same! It was complete surprise (been a bit slack in my pet hunting lately), first mushroom I clicked spawned the rare and I got the pet. Reading up on it now, so super happy, gotta have good luck sometimes after the amount of hours spent on some other pets :D

Not sure what the drop rate is on this little guy but I got it the first time I killed the rare. It was green quality so I didn't even realize I had it until I was vendoring stuff ten minutes later!

Of all snooters, this one has the softest fur. Ironically, it does not like to be pet very much.
