Collecting this pet is one of the requirements for the achievement Raiding with Leashes.

One of Razorgore's eggs that miraculously survived in Blackwing Lair.
I like this pet. I always use it against Darkmoon Faire trainers' magic-type pets.
I love this pet, however, while leveling it in PvP mode I noticed the ability "Instability" only does half damage against other players. I find this annoying since it already misses 50% of the time, but the base attack hits harder. Against PvE battle pets, it does regular damage and nearly one shots most equal level animals. It doesn't matter much since at 20, it is replaced by the heal, but it is still anooying. Has Blizzard nerfed the 50% chance high hitting abilities?
Somewhat strange stats for a dragonkin. 260 speed is often just too fast to make best use of Tail Sweep, so Claw is probably more useful in most cases. Use Roar and your Claw will really start to hurt. Combined with Healing Flame and pretty decent health this can last a long time and get benefit of the dragon racial multiple times.
If using Instability you probably need hit boost, like rain dance or uncanny luck.
Spiked skin has been buffed so stop dots better and do a bit more damage.
Lots of comments how to get him, not much on him as a pet. So I'll add mine, he is an awesome pet! I literally lvl'd him to 25 in 3 hours. At lvl 11, he could actually kill lvl 24-5 critters in Pandaira. Huge bonus xp, and he jumped up quickly. And when he hit 20 and got a healing spell? OMG could this guy get any better! He is officially one of my favourite pets, and he's so cute!
The easiest way to farm this is with a healer. Healing gets a lot of aggro plus you can heal the boss when you pop out to reaply a HOT.That helps a ton when the boss has mobs on him. Sleep the 9ther dragons.
Got on my first run, haven't seen again.
Soloed as blood DK at lvl 87 with mostly quest tank gear.
Strat I use: kill the guys on the orb, boss will make a line for you and mobs should die just about the time he hits the ramp. MC boss and kill eggs close to you on platform and then head down ramp and work back and forth across the room.
Should be able to get 1/2 the eggs on the first MC. Disease, BB, drop DnD on adds. Should be able to MC again just as boss gets to you and finish eggs.
Grabbed this today on my elemental shaman, solo. Took a few tries to work out the mechanics but was straightforward enough I'd expect any class could do it if they have some LFR gear. What I found worked best was to start with the eggs furthest away from the orb and work back towards the orb on the second channel. This causes more of the mobs to attack you. Also, use the dragonkin sleep ability when they come out.
Got the pet the first try =) Solo'd this as a rogue just blew up the guys then hit orb and destroyed the closest eggs first then worked my way to the cornners where the mobs spawn then all the way to the back as the MC was almost over. Fan spammed a elite to get some combo points and popped recoupe to get some healy agro on my toon and to keep them offa Razergore then killed the rest of the eggs while kitting some of the mobs to minimize dmg to him. This pet is just awesome looking
Its possible to solo with a hunter by quickly killing the first set of mobs and then MC him. Using a pattern that gradually takes Razorgore away from you kill as many eggs as possible. Before you go into MC set a flame trap to burn down some of the mobs. After the first MC kill the mobs and MC Razorgore again and get the rest of the eggs down. Usually only takes two rounds of MC.
Got my hatchling today from Razorgore the Untamed. I was Lucky enough to get it on the first drop too. Yeah my Guildie helped me and he was kind enough to let me have when it drop (he has no real interests in pets) and for that i was truly greatful. Yeah i recomend 2 man this boss if you cant solo it.
Now that i have this awesome hatchling, it's 1 down... 11 to go XD
Had alot of trouble trying to take control of the orb, until someone I know found out that hunters need to dismiss their pets first. So if you can't get it to work, dismiss your pet first.
This fight IS soloable now, though it takes some tricks to make sure that you have aggro and not Razorgore. The easiest way to do this is to periodically cancel the control channel (Target him, right click, then choose "Dismiss") and then use something to heal yourself. This will cause the mobs that are attacking Razorgore to turn their attention to you instead. Then quickly clear out some of the mobs attacking you before starting the channel again. HoTs are hax for this!
Got mine last night, along with the rest of the BWL pets. I did 2 runs to get all 3, my bf got 2. Seems like a good drop rate. I ran AQ once, got 1 pet, BWL 2 got all pets, and Naxx once, got no pets. Good odds in my opinion.
Got this guy in BWL tonight. Drop rate on these new raid drop pets seems reasonably low. Did BWL, AQ40 and MC and only had one drop. Guild mate did the same and also only had one drop (Corefire Imp).
Farmed it with my hunter and my druid and no luck. Gonna try with my priest later today. Pretty easy to solo now, all you have to do is use something to heal the boss while you're controlling him, I've used Rejuvenation with my druid.
Totally made my night when this guy dropped. I can confirm it's off first boss in Blackwing Lair Razgore the Untamed. We two manned him, no big deal with a 90 mage / 86 warrior.
