1545 pets
There are two new ghostly pets to collect during this year's Hallow's End in-game festival — Cursed Birman and Widget the Departed.
These two creepy cats can be purchased from the special holiday vendors in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, and cost 150 Tricky Treats each. For more information on collecting Tricky Treats, check out Wowhead's comprehensive guide.

The Cursed Birman and Widget the Departed are Bind on Use and cageable, so if trick-or-treating doesn't interest you, the Auction House will be a good place to look for these pets.
Hallow's End concludes on November 1st, so don't delay in collecting these cats. They're the purrfect companions to celebrate this spooky season with!
Got over 150 after doing a candy run in Pandoria and Kalimdor, also got a few bits of candy from the daily Horseman run and the quests from Brill / Razor Hill. Unfortunately will have to repeat that on another character to get another one ;).
Got both with a single toon and a couple of treats to spare.
On a single toon if you trick-or-treat in just Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor you get plenty of tokens to buy a pet. Do that twice on two toons you can get both cats. Pretty sure you can also get the Arthas costume on 1 toon as long as it's not a toon which has already purchased a pet or anything expensive.
not about pets but i see a few folks are talking about The Lich King costume
Bliz put in a hot fix so it only cost 500 not 1000,the tool still says 1000 but its not . all so it can only be worn 20 times

I did some research and from what I can tell the max coins you can squeeze out of the Holiday is around 630 coins. The Lich King costume Bliz mentioned is a two year journey. Not really worth it for 50 charges fwiw.
Has anyone sat down and figured out how many tricky treats we can get per character during this event? I am hoping to get all the pets, the toy AND the 1000 treat Lich-King costume. Eep.
Got the 2 pets with different chars, I was afraid I couldn't get all 300 coins with one but then realized that it's possible (Eastern Kingdom, Kalimdor, Outland, Northrend, Cataclysm and Pandaria are LOTS of coins).

My wife and I did this in 1 day. We completed all the quests avaliable at Undercity, killed the Horseman; and hit buckets on all continents except Pandaria and had 1 treat left over after buying both cats.
With a little luck you can run all the candy buckets and get both.
I did all the candy buckets and help put out one fire got 304 tokens got both new pets . good luck to all

I'm so excited! I was worried all the hype would lead to a let down, but they're real! Looking forward to getting the toy as well. Good luck with the treats everyone!
So glad there are finally new pets this year! Also if you're into toys, there is one of those as well!
