Young Mutant Warturtle

Can confirm that these sometimes spawn near the vendor in the Underbelly. I was down there fishing and fighting to get enough Sightless Eyes for the Young Mutant Warturtles, when suddenly I spotted three of them on the ground near her. There was nobody else around, so someone else didn't purchase them. I just got lucky, I guess? I quickly captured all three--they were all poor quality H/P breeds, but I can spare a stone for at least one of them. I wish they still had the weapons & bandanas.

I went down there today and found 2 near the vendor.  Was able to battle it and got a poor one.  (nothing a rare stone won't fix)  He no longer has the bandana or the swords.  There goes the COOL factor!  I used 3 Eldritch Manafiends for easy capture.

for an information: the second summon did not work for me.

He's a solid aquatic with dragonkin moves. As far as an aquatic dealing damage to elementals alot do it better.

As of 8.0, This pet uses the new base turtle model, causing it's headband to be inside it's head and the swords to float above it.

 I got lucky bought him went to fight had a level 25 sky boo out plus two level 14's by mistake cought him on first trap set out and was able to do enough damage with my sky boo to take down the other two far enough to win with my 14's lol

Cylthan, I noticed the same thing you don't see the green paw to engage them but if you right-click on them the battle does still start.

Must be a bug fix coming.

How do you capture these pets? Every time I go down there and some are out, they are never interactable! I'm so upset. Do you HAVE to be the one that buys them to battle them?

anyone find a good team for this guy? i love the moveset but im not sure where to put him

I hadn't even heard of this little guy (I like surprises, so I don't know about all the pets yet) and just saw it sitting there, waiting to be captured. I leaped in with my Teroclaw hatchling and two level 19 levelling pets. It was Fighty Time in the Underbelly - a rogue sapped me, then left me alone, fortunately. Poor quality, went straight to Lio and used a stone to rare.

For you non-pvpers, don't lose hope!  Just buy a bodyguard on your way down and catch whatever one you can get your hands on.  You can always stone it if you have to.  The bodyguard lasted me two pet battles, so I was able to snag both the warturtle and blind rat in one go.

Do not worry about finding and capturing a Rare when only 4 spawn and you need to avoid PvP, just catch the first one you find and Upgrade it to Rare with a Marked Flawless Battle-Stone that you can buy in the Dalaran pet shop for 15 Pet Charms.

I second getting a body guard, especially if you manage to snag a rare you'd hate to lose it to some ganker! I didn't know people could even attack you while pet battling (I naively assumed I was phased!) so I was very fortunate to get a rare on the first try and not have anyone kill me while trying to capture. Love the ninja mask, but how cool would it have been to have the mask change colors randomly as you summoned (sometimes red, orange, blue or purple!). Very cool pet!

Some hints for all you guys that don't like the FFA Underbelly PvP.

Bring some time and patience when going for these pets. From my experience it is best to always wait till the guards are called off and then get the bodygurd. Kill Rares or battle Blind Rats till you got enough coins. Keep in mind that the Bodyguards are somewhat buggy and vanish sometimes.

When going for the capture make sure you got pet bandages ready. Place the turtles and just right-click them. :)

Pity they didn't do something like make it four miniature turtles counting as a single pet or something like that. Still, love the reference and can't wait to get one of my own.

coolest thing ever... pitty they had to put it in the area where all the gankers are hanging out these days... yeah I doubt I'm going to get this pet any time soon. I hate PvP, people take it way too seriously.

Heroes in a half shell. My only beef is...you can only have 3 of them, and there are 4--Donatello, Michaelangelo, Leonardo...and Raphael. My set won't be complete and this makes me sad, Blizzard.

Be careful - some people are waiting for battlers to desummon the guards.

The bodyguard is currently bugged and despawns faster than it should.

I'd suggest bringing friends instead to safeguard you and to cap any rarity and breed.

Finally a turtle with a deflect like ability but rather for the ENTIRE team... and a dragon killer at that. You could swap to this pet and make Curse of Doom miss your other pets................................................. or just have 3 of these pets and make allot of AOE attacks miss.
