Can be found near the town of Kamagua on The Isle of Spears which is located on the western coast of Howling Fjord.
Read more about this pet in our Pet of the Month!
There's an old vrykul saying that goes, 'Let sleeping worgs lie, unless you don't want your face anymore.'
Lots of these on the howling fjord island. thay spawn really fast so you can level as you look for the rare ones. may take some time. I eventully killed everyone on there and finally a rare apeard :D
Just caught an poor P/P on Boulderfist, so they are still around.
Just caught an uncommon P/P on Uldum/Antonidas server so they do exist!
To Sohvi: If you use an addon, probably it doesn't recognise P/P breeds of some pets.
For several months, in the wild, pets that you encounter have their attack power lowered. Both battlers and addon designers need to include it – currently Battle Pet BreedID should deal with it.
Of course, when a wild pet is finally caught, the true attack power value is brought back.
Just spent over an hour looking for a P/P breed. I would've even taken a poor but I saw none what so ever.
Can someone confirm that the P/P breed is still available? I was on the EU Nordrassil server.
Vastly underrated and by far the most useful pet of its skillset. The P/P breed is more likely to be useful than the speed-oriented breeds of foxes with its moveset since it already has two abilities to bolster its speed. With the exception of rabbits, it is very rare that you will ever encounter a pet that can outrun the Worg Pup with Dazzling Dance -- and especially not with Leap.
Especially in the case of Undead pets. Of all pets, they are among the slowest.
Farming 5 hours total, no rares. Lots of uncommon. Guess rng is pulling my leg here.
Got my rare on the island. Had to battle quite a few times to get a rare to spawn. Love it!
Comes in two breeds P/P and H/P. P/P is definetly the way to go, 325 power makes this the strongest of the wolf family. Wolves have a really powerful set of moves. With Dance you go from 260 to 325 speed, if you need more use Leap which is useful even though it only lasts one turn. Howl is a game changer, while Crouch will make you last a long time(especially if faster). Use Flurry if you intend to Dance, Bite will probably be better otherwise. 325 power, this is a strong one!
Grab a rare P/P breed, and level it up; you will not be disappointed. Using Howl+Bite, this guy makes mincemeat out of several of the Legendary Pandaran Beasts, to the point that he can outright solo a few of them if you don't get unlucky.
Found a rare in the exact middle of islan, after about 60 battles... /cry
Found P/P rare at 30.5, 59.2, Server - Draenor EU, 06.15 CET. There are two breeds available for the Fjord Worg Pup (H/P & P/P), but reading here (click the comments tab) the comment by Whiterock shows that P/P is best option with a focus on the Bite, Flurry and Leap spells. Happy hunting :)
I think i battled about 140 of these now without finding a rare one :(
at least i have leveled some pets while not finding it :)
The only thing i can suggest to make this more bearable since I didn't get a rare until 40-50th battle is pop a lesser pet treat, put on your safari hat and a good movie and start leveling lvl 1 pets, they got to lvl 6 then lvl 7-10 in 1-3 battles. I got at least 10 pets leveled to 10 and a few to 18. Since there is no way to make this grind better.. at least you can get some leveling out of the way!
Searched for this guy last night. Lots around. Easy to get an uncommon or lower but I killed about 80 and no rare so I gave up.
Decided to try again and after MANY kills no rare. Finally decided to grab the one that spawns inside the tree trunk kind of in the middle of the island. Used /tar then the interact with target key bind and wouldn't you know it... RARE!
Got a rare pup on the fourth try. There's no shortage of Worg Pups on the island, so you shouldn't have any problem with finding them. They do stick around close to the adult Worgs though, so if you are around their level, you may want to kill those first so they don't interrupt your battles.
Happy hunting!
Definately heaps around Kamagua Island on the west side of Howling Fjord.
There was an abundance of worg pups on the isle of spears on the western side of the map, i did laps of the island starting from Kamagu.
Took me about 10 pet battle in order for me to get my rare. You can find them on the island to the west in the Howling Fjord. There are quite a few there, so its not too hard to find a rare if your looking for one. Most of the secondary pets that fight in the battle are critters.
Got a rare after my second battle, then went hunting for a turkey, got another rare pup.
