Patch 4.2.2 | Posted: October 18, 2011
Purchasable only during the in-game holiday, Hallow's End. Tricky Treats can be obtained during the event from candy buckets inside friendly inns, defeating the Headless Horseman once per day, as well as quests and dailies.
When this pet's owner mounts up, the Feline Familiar will mount up on its very own miniature broom and ride alongside the player.
This black cat will also make Stinker's heart flutter but it's a short-lived, one sided romance.

Ride with the moon (and this furry, whiskered witch) in the dead of night!
We know this feline is a witch, but I cannot help but wonder what type of witch she is, what kind of powers she possesses, and how she got them in the first place....
Mine's name is Penelope. My main is a mage and I just can't help keeping this little beauty chasing me around everywhere, especially on its little broom.
Now to find Stinker and let them go at it.
Forever one of my favorite pets in game. I've named mine Elvira.
This pet is a monster at critter hunting in order to level pets :O God, I used to think Nether Ray was The one for that job, but she gets hurt, that creates downtime, healing or swapping etc.
There is no such word as 'downtime" in Feline Familiar's dictionary. She just munches and munches everything that shows up. All these tasty critters... Mmmm.
the best pet to level others in front of your garrison its a beast devour+onyx bite kills everything
Woohoo! Just got this response from my in-game ticket about the missing broom!

Hey there, Game Master Akumonxe here! ...
We're currently looking into the matter and hope to have it resolved soon!

And as of 10:06pm Central Time, the broom is back!!! Yay!!! :)
So sad that my broom has gone - I loved the animation! But this is still my 'go-to' pet for battling wild pets - Stoneskin and devour mean that I seldom even think about having to heal my team. I'd highly recommend this pet to anyone as they start collecting in earnest - it just cuts a swathe through all the critters. This mean's that it's of limited use as you start battling the more specialised trainers, but for wild pets this little beauty is a winner.
I too have notice my favorite broom riding kitty no long has a broom and I'm filthy about it! I can't handle him just sort of swimming in the air.. this will not do!! Don't let this get swept under the rug!!! Let's get swept up and act by reporting this dirty trick and demand the return of the Feline's broom! We need to make a clean sweep so once again my Feline and I can ride our brooms off into the sunset! =(^.^)=
I noticed the broom was missing as well. I reported it to blizzard I think it's a bug. You should too. Squeaky wheels get oiled... Loving the new ghost cats, Widget the departed especially.
I recently discovered that my little Feline Familiar lost its little broom!
@Kenrio is right. This cat is a MONSTER at powerleveling in wild pet battles. The damage reduction from Stone Skin is substantial and negates almost all DoT effects (posions, stampedes, etc.). Combined with the self-healing of Devour, I consistently take of groups of 3 wild pets and end every fight at full health. WOW. Either Pounce or Onxy Bite is a viable option. Personally I choose Onxy Bite, since Pounce is weak against flyers (which are common in the wild...mechanicals not so much).
mechanicle i can not stress this enough ppl try to counter this with lil ragnoros NO use any mechanicle trust me they will use prowl then onyx bite then poof you my freind are probily dead so use any mechanicle
My husband gifted this cute kitty to me. I named her Lena Duchannes after the character in Beautiful Creatures, he has one named Blair. (After the Blair Witch Project and the Anime Soul Eaters) but I'm in the process of leveling her up. Interesting abilities, not very strong, but effective none the less.
@Polydragon1 - you have what is commonly known as 'lag'. Nothing has changed. :) (I just checked!)
@Kimberlyhenn - you kind of answered your own question. If you have a Common pet, it's not going to have stats up to the superior level of a Rare iteration of that same pet. If you had an Uncommon (green) one, you'd see the stats were between the two you have now. The Guides section of this website has all sorts of useful information about this! :)
this pet its the best No.1 for powerlvling at Valley of the Four Winds with Pounce, Stone skin, Devour
This pet is amazing, whenever one of my other pets is having trouble with a battle, I always throw this one out. It just destroys pretty much everything. It's died a few times on me, but mostly due to my mistakes, and not nearly as much as my other pets. I would definitely recommend this pet, plus it looks awesome :D
Kind of upset mine is a female though, as I gave it a male name and refuse to change it...oh well :P
This pet is awesome in battle. After I got it I upgraded to rare, and uniquely from all my 300 and forty something pets, levelled all the way to 25 without dying. Not even once. Bites hard, has a strong damage shield, heals from killing opponents.. Pretty useful combo.
This little one is my favorite pet, hands down. He's the first 25 I had, and is in 90% of the (non-tournament) teams I use. I love him so much, I named him after my rl cat.
Side note: prowl + call darkness = Farmer Nishi's stupid sunflower no longer a problem.
I just noticed today that the model has been changed, it no longer has a broom but still flies along side the trainer with a sort of swimming action. Bummer, I loved the broom. Does anyone know why they changed it? :-(
Out of the pets I have, this is by far my baby! Was the first one I bothered to level and haven't regretted it. Have had not one fight where this little kitty couldn't solo the fights itself (beside the Battle Pet Masters, though he does well at standing his ground!) The shield he has is just OP, OP, OP. When I'm hunting pets or battling them, I make sure he's in one of the slots. Was so worth paying 2.5k for (cause I didn't realize he was a Halloween pet and didn't want to wait for next year.)
