The preferred habitat of this creature is woodland areas where it can safely complete its metamorphosis.
As funny as this sounds, this little nasty will always have a special place in me heart. It was the first rare I ever encountered and captured successfully. Funny how these things stick with you.
I am in Skulk rock hinterlands. I am fighting a (grey) LvL 11 Maggot. My display says it has 94 power and 165 speed with 519 HP.
I don't see it in the breed selector... AM I doing something wrong?
In the Howling Fjord, in Halgrind (check the 'Location' map) they spawn in 3 different spots around the little pond. They spawn in groups of ~4-6 and it doesn't take long for them to respawn once they've been cleared, maybe a minute or two. They can spawn as critters or battle pets so just wipe the critter group with aoe. Didn't take long to get a rare and it's at least level 19 when you capture it.
First one I found was a rare @ 4:30pm realm. Â 21.73, 38.46
Demon Fall Canyon in Ashenvale is a very good place for Maggots. They re-spawn quickly and I got my rare after about 45 minutes as a primary when battled.
Fire Scar Shrine in Ashenvale has a ton of these guys.Â
They are also found in Undercity among the rats and roaches.
Was found with a forest moth.
