The first thing you might notice about this creature is its huge expressive eyes. This is a mistake. Instead focus on its razor-sharp claws.
Found (front line pet) at 44.5 / 75.9
Warlen, For a capture team, I use dogs with the talent "superbark" because it guarantees not to kill it. It takes it down to 1 hp at the max, so I use normal bark or anything else, and then superbark to take it to 1 hp or really low. Three of these pets for a capture team just to guarantee I don't kill what I'm trying to capture! :)
I found a few Flooftalon in the the area around 49,75. They were all non-combat so I just killed all of the critters in the area until a combatable Flooftalon finally spawned. It took about an hour and a half until I finally got one. It was gray quality, but I have plenty of upgrade tokens stashed away.
After flying all over the place, found one hiding under a plant at 47 37. I normally capture pets with my Emperor Crab (shield and self heal - goes great) but Flooft. hits like a truck against Aquatics.
Found a blue one at 41.78/49.05, with two gray pewlings. So cute!

Found on hiding in undergrowth at 47, 47 beside a Verdent Umbraclaw so be careful not to aggro that thing

Hard to find! I found both the Flooftalon and the Slumbertooth around 47.65, 76.19.
Caught mine 54, 68. I killed dozens and it spawned after an hour or so. I personally found these coords and the surrounding clearing to be the highest concentration of non-combat Flooflatons to clear.
This may be a rare placeholder pet battle. I ran across a non-catchable critter named Flooftalon as I was flying around, thought it was cute, and then moved on. I'm going to have to figure out where I saw it. It may be one of those mean ones where you have to kill the non-pet-battle versions until the catchable version appears.
