Warlords of Draenor
Patch 6.0.1 | Posted: October 14, 2014
Can be found on Socrethar's Rise or as secondary pets in Shadowmoon Valley (Draenor).

Camouflaged like moss, the skitterer will hide in trees and leap on their victims from above.
As with all of the pet spawns that can spawn in the region of your garrison (Shadowmoon Valley for Alliance, Frostfire Ridge for Horde), the easiest way to farm for the breed you want (in rare of course) is to have the "Creepy Crawlers" decoration active from the Hallow's End world event. As these are INSTANT respawn when killed, and any of the pets from that region can spawn as seconds; pick a spot, settle in, and just keep checking and killing if it's not what you want.
This pet is identical to Bloodthorn Hatchling, Icespine Hatchling, and Thicket Skitterer. All 4 pets have identical movesets and come in the same 4 breeds with identical stats. The only difference between them is the appearace. With this in mind, you could choose all 4 breeds with each pet having a different breed. Even the S/B breed is slow at 289 and Puncture Wound has no bonus unless paired with a pet that uses poison and Takedown has no bonus unless the enemy stuns itself.
They appear quite often as a secondary pet to the Moonshell Crabs at Moonlit Shore. I got my rare after 30 min and by then I hade seen at least 15.
These are fairly hard to find as are the last few from "Draenor Safari" but we had a restart tonite and I found my last 3 within 15mins. Hope that helps.
Having http://www.wowhead.com/item=112904/sargerei-disguise helped me a lot when I was looking for this little guy as a primary. It's a quest item though, from the garrison campaign and I just did them both at the same time. Still watch out for the podlings though, they are a pain in the ***.
Just got a primary at 45 77 (horde), first pet I happened across whilst looking for this so I'd say I'm lucky :)
I can confirm that this spawns as a secondary pet. Considering how few spawn points it has as a primary spawn, I'd recommend fighting anything in the zone to get your capture!
On restart I found 2 as you leave the FP. I did have to work my way around the edge of lv 100 mobs to target them. I found another just behind the 1st small hill from the two in front of FP. There was another to the right a short distance near rare spwan point; all where poor quaility and main pet.
There are primaries, but really scarce, especially while you're dodging 100 mobs.
Anyone know if these things appear as primary pets or secondary only?
...lol, ignore this... to see one only has to read!
