Read more about this pet in our Pet of the Month!
Born from demonic magic, these petulant little entities corrupt everything they touch with foul energies.
I will sometimes use a team of 3 of these guys when I am doing the PvP weekly quest to win 10 PvP battles whenever I see a bunch of mechanicals. A hit with Conflagrate after they have been hit with Immolate hurts very bad even to a non mechanical. Immolation suffers due to the fact that his race is elemental, but Scorched Earth is tempting because elementals do not suffer effects from weather conditions. With only 3 breeds to choose from you could have one of each untill you decide.
It's incorrect that they're only an added pet - loose ones are wandering all around the Felblight in Tanaan Jungle, at the foot of the Throne of Kil'jaeden. Â I caught an H/H there by accident, in fact.
Wowhead reminds me that yes, they are all the way up the mountain, as I have seen them in the area of the fel-falls you pass on the way to Skrillix. Â Not huge hordes of them, but still easy hunting.
"Felemental"?
How did Blizz miss this? Maybe they're saving it for something "bigger".
This is my favorite new pet. The Second one that I clicked on was rare!
I simply had to name mine Azzinoth!
Against the final boss in the new Deadmines pet battle, this is a must pet. The boss is a vicious, huge blob with dead pet bones sticking out of him and he smells really, really bad, so I always carry two Fel Flames to burn off the stench.  SCORCHED EARTH, FLAME BREATH and then CONFLAGARATE in that order will reap great results. The boss will stun first pet, no worries; first pet will last long enough. If you bring in 3rd pet, it will yield around 200xp.
Found them easily with the macro.../tar Fel Flame. great lil pet
After an evening of discovering that a pet bombling was a bad idea for farming for a fel flame (ff strong vs mechs) I switched today to a small frog (highest level aquatic I had at 19). The frog proved QUITE effective! I found my blue at the Sketh'lon Wreckage, at the very small lava pool at the west end. The blue failed 'its save' against the frog's kiss 1st attack, so it was pretty easy to simply wear it down with the +50% from there. Trap missed 1st 2 times though.
In my very first fight against a Fel Flame with followers i stumbled upon a rare one. Unfortunately my pet critically hit it from 650-700hp to 0 so I had to farm for another hour to get my rare... So be warned and use a pet with weak abilities from 50%!
Love this pet for the Darkmoon Faire fight. He can sometimes take out the first 2 pets by himself leaving me with just the Monkey....who I have nightmares about =)
The H/H build is very useful for a pet that can drop 2-3 DoT effects. Both Immolation spells have seperate timers, but I would take Conflagrate over Immolation. I'm not a fan of scorched earth unless I'm running a team of 2-3 elementals who won't be damaged by it.
Breath/Scorthed Earth/Conflagrate and Burn/Immolate/Conflagrate are both solid choices on the H/H breed in my opinion.
:D I got this pet on the first day... my pets were only lvl 13 so I captured pets all day and finally got a rare with my crappy squad of lvl 19 poors xD
not all that hard to get you guys should try getting it... looks awesome and has nice moves
After camping this for two weeks, I finally got a rare 1/6 at 10:40 Alleria time. Â I had battled two other rares and lost a battle on one of them because I didn't have the right combo and the second because I didn't have a Terrible Turnip and killed it by mistake. Â I didn't get coordinates, but it was on the far south eastern area of where they spawn.
First one I dueled was uncommon and I captured it, 2nd one was a S/H rare as I captured it as well :D very happy with this new awesome pet!
I found a rare that might be difficult for anyone lower level to tame, he was in the lava by the warden's cage under the bridge. Â The only approach to tame him was to stand in the lava which continued to do damage during the battle. Â Luckily at 90 it didn't do too much damage to me but might be difficult for a lower HP to survive.
Amazingly, I got my rare on my third try. Good luck hunting!
Don't hunt for a rare with a 90 character. You could easilly level from 85 to 90 before a rare shows up.
Persistance is the Key here. I have been fighting every Fel I have found for about 5 months now. Got more active in the last few days but was begining to think the rare was a myth but I did finally get mine. Think it took me about 40-60 (hard to say since I have been doing it for so long) but I think if you would just sit down one night and really hunt these, you could probably find it. A great fighter, one of the best Elementals actually. Really str. magic and pretty good def.
They are not hard to find, do not be demoralised if you do not see them at first. You will find them around lava pools. I got a rare the first one I fought.
Got mine around The Deadforge. It was the 4th i saw (first battle I lost; the other two were in the middle of the green lava and not possible to battle against), and luckily it was a rare.

I took my common and went home. lol Another person was farming and they weren't spawning fast enough to keep us both going. Plus the lava and the tracking footprint are both the same green. This occasionally caused me to lose a pet fight to my competition. Hot pink might have been a better color for SMV. ;)
