Patch 7.0.3 | Posted: August 2, 2016
This wild pet is usually found near bodies of inland water. It shares spawn points with wild Bucktooth Flappers in the zone, but is rarer and has a much lower spawn chance.
Level 0: 0 0 0
This creature was once a normal beaver, but was struck by lightning, a stormwing drake's breath, and a rock all at the same time.
Got one in stonescar gorge
I'm trying this guy on pvp battles and it's very solid. Lightning shield alone can almost one shot nasty pets like Ikky. All battles so far he never lost against mechanical or multi hit pets.
Confirmed spawn at the Whitewater Typhoon pool. Killed the two beavers and the Stormstruck spawned.
I got mine today as a rare. I just kept running around killing all the beaver critters that would spawn along the river below Talonrest and pet battling the Stormstruck Beavers that would spawn until I could get a rare one to spawn. Most of mine have spawned right next to the petrified fisherman. He does put up a fight, I used two aquatic pets that had a mix of aquatic and beast spells. Then used my Ancient Nest Guardian to get the add-ons.
I have been searching for this pet for the last month. Tonight it was storming and @the tidal pool got a rare. Put up a heck of a fight and able to capture but the two adds were feisty enough that it almost took down my dragonkin team. Even though did not see it mentioned. When storming go looking. :)
Good counter against either Mechanicals or Elementals. Discharge changing him to critter makes Elemental damage weak on him, and Tail Slap does bonus to Elementals. Plus he can heal. Strong and versatile, highly recommended.
Essentially a Thundertail Flapper from the Isle of Thunder -- but with some noticeable differences. Unlike any beaver, it has a VERY nice breed (P/P) and a unique, flavorful ability called Discharge.
Those two things alone make it a very special pet. I used it for a little while in Battle Pets PvP (Tail Slap + Lightning Shield + Discharge) and had some pleasant results with my Aquatic team!
Confirmed for the Whitewater Typhoon pool. There is a spawn point shared with Bucktooth Flapper at the edge of the pool.
For reference, it took approx 90 minutes of killing Bucktooth Flapper critters for one of these to spawn for me. Did it at the pool with the rare (Whitewater Typhoon).
Found mine in the Weeping Bluffs around 36,52 (the area where the rare mob Whitewater Typhoon spawns). There's four beaver spawns there (three in the small pond with Typhoon, one closer to the crashed airship), so it's easy to get rid of the critters while watching all four spots.
Having a great deal of problems finding this pet. I am guessing the spawn rate is extremely low. Spent hours looking and haven't found one yet. Realm hopping doesn't seem to help either. This is the last one I need for the achievement.
I ran around killing the 4 closest beaver critters near the fisherman for a while with no luck but tried hopping using nithogg (worldboss in Stormheim) as the keyword to phase correctly and found one rather quickly. I ended up going back for the other breed since P/P is unique to this pet, otherwise its basically the same as thundertail flapper and pp seems to be much better for battles imo. Used a stone to upgrade.
Okay, so I fell in love with this pet the moment he popped up on my radar. I ran around the area near the wrecked airship near the Skyfire Triage camp for about an hour and a half and continuously killed the pets that spawned. Whenever a pet was able to be battled, I usually did that too. Finally he spawned near the top of the waterfall by the quest NPC Whitewater Typhoon and I grabbed him as quickly as possible!
Ran back and forth between the two beaches in Stonescar Gorge, two or three parts of Weeping Bluff and that little no-name lake directly south of Aggramar's Vault where two beavers spawn. After killing several innocent creatures simply beavering around, a B/B Stormstruck Beaver finally spawned on the northern Gorge beach (the one without the petrified fisherman).
Got mine at 29.42. Its a small lake area, no hostile mobs around. Lucked out, 2 spawns were up after running around to different spots killing ambient critters, got a PP rare! I believe these guys can spawn anywhere around the water where bucktooth flappers spawn (speculation though).
Finally got mine at the Stonescar Gorge (47.17, 61.7) near the petrified fisherman and Stonefang (quest elite).
It took me 5 or 6 Bucktooth Flapper critter kills till he spawned. Maybe it was just coincidence, but I noticed that the critter before my pet spawn had a different tint of its fur than the critters I killed before that.
was doing a fishing world quest, at the waterfall with the sunken ship, (i think about 45-51) on the bank farthest from the ship there was one and it was a rare :)

After 2 hours and killing quite a few Bucktooth flappers on the two beaches (42,60 and 46,61) in Stonescar Gorge, one showed up on the smaller beach.
For those without Co-ordinates it was the beachs in the gorge to the north of Hyrdshal not where the WoW map shows.
Edit spelling.
Can Confirm info from Wingz. I didn't spend two hours but it could be a luck thing. I killed the Beavers in the starting area in Stormheim and was able to get this lil guy to pop for me.
Discharge is a really cool burst ability that causes you to have the critter racial for a short time. This will allow you to get your heal or next attack off without being stunned or put to sleep. Very nice!
