Sinister Squashling now drops from several sources: Treat Bags, the Headless Horseman, and Crudely Wrapped Gifts. The drop rate for the Treat Bags and Crudely Wrapped Gifts is roughly 3%, while the drop rate for Headless Horseman is about 8%.
The Headless Horseman is a high level boss in the Graveyard wing of the Scarlet Monastery instance. Players can queue into this encounter multiple times a day, but only the first kill per toon each day will reward a loot bag that has a chance to drop this pet.
This pet is very unnerrated.
First of all, it is easy to get. If you don´t want to wait till october just buy one from the AH, it is very cheap (most of the times).
Second, it is a powerful elemental pet. Easily counters mechanics and has no problem with most of the other pets too. His heals semms obsolete at first, but it can be very useful if used correctly (you need to activate it again before he dies ofc).
Should be rated higher than 3, one of my best for PvP - Burn, Stun Seed, Leech Seed.
Plant, thorns, and your choice of move 1.
This pet is the bane of my pet battles because theres always SOMEONE who has a team of all of these and just spam burn over and over while I have to dreadfully watch my precious teams get burnt to a crisp sorta Lil' Ragnaros takes it like a boss though....
This is no doubt the coolest companion pet. Props to the designer, you put most others to shame. The sounds and annimations are second to none. Now to get voted down...I cant win with this as a battle pet. Having to wait at least 2 rounds for just a mediocre heal doesnt work for me. The damage he does doesnt make up for slow healing, and he's so slow the opponent always gets to go first, which means he's usually dead and buried on the turn he was supposed to pop up and heal.
This pet had me quit for nearly a year as it the last one i needed for the what a long strange trip its been meta. Now I can't bring myself to use him in anger lol.
Log in every hour (using egg timer), average 15 times/day, since day 1
Getting on average, half tricks versus treats.
So for: 10 days, 15 times/day = 75 treats, no drop.
Add the daily horseman/village fires = 0 drops so far
Statistically speaking, for the amount of bags I've gotten, I SHOULD have seen the pet 3 times now.
3 days to go, wish me luck.
I would have given up without my lovely friends going for the boss over and over again just to get the pet for me. It did drop in the end from the boss afer countless kills and made it my 50th pet so I also got Stinker (and achievement). I just want to tell people not to give up :)
