This pet is rewarded when your character completes the "Let's Bee Friends" achievement. To complete this achievement, you must complete the quest chain that leads to Back to the Lab to spawn Ancel and Bumbles appear in the basement.
Following that, you'll need to loot an amulet, complete a series of quests, which will all lead to being able to create the Mildenhall Growth Formula (required to complete the achievement). The formula can only be made once a day, so it will take one week to complete the achievement. Check out this Wowhead comment to learn more details.

Bumbles may not have been the largest bee of the millions within the hive, but that doesn't mean he can't grow into a champion.
Got the Amulet after about 200 kills. Found a spot just up the hill at 70.69, 72.09 to be decent. 4 Flowing Honey constantly respawn within range. With an LFG group, the puddles died and repsawned quite fast. Beware of Honey Yeti!
Take a look at Wowhead. Bumbling Bees drop the Annealed Honey Amulet much more often than the monsters, and apparently the Beehemoth does as well. I got my amulet on my third group of bees all the way over in Gale's Rest - where things are quiet and unthreatening and not trying to kill you with honey.
Only kill the honey-creatures afterwards, when you're feeding the bee.
A bit disappointed it's only uncommon, rather than rare variety.....was I just unlucky?
I got a P/S breed. Not sure if other breeds are possible.
