This is my power-leveling workhorse. The Eternal Striders in Vale of Eternal Blossoms behind the inn in Mistfall Village are perfect for leveling with this pet, as most of what you'll be fighting are aquatics. I usually have my Pygmy Owl and two pets to level. The Owl can tear through 5 -7 teams usually before needing to level. I using Preen, you can two-shot most aquatic mobs with Savage Talon, using Predatory Strike when Preen is on CD.
Pygmy Owl is a great Flying type to use vs Aquatics:
1) Savage Talon (powerful vs Aquatic, main attack)
2) Preen (heals + increases DMG by 25% for 2 rounds)
3) Predatory Strike (aka murders Aquatic when below 25%)
Pattern: Savage Talon -> Preen -> Savage Talon until foe is below 25% health -> Predatory Strike
To summon Gorebeak (and get the Pygmy Owl), you first need to speak with Lorel Sagefeather in the Whispering Bluffs of Val'sharah. She will tell you that she will help defeat Gorebeak, but she doesn't help much. Near the end of the fight, Gorebeak will ask you to battle your darkest fears, which is a big Manafiend. The air around you will get dark and scary; but don't avail, kill Gorebeak first, then focus on that nasty Manafiend. Good luck all.
