Warlords of Draenor
Patch 6.0.1 | Posted: October 14, 2014
Players with the engineering skill can purchase the schematic for this pet at the Engineering Works plot in the garrison or from the engineering vendor at the Alliance or Horde faction hub in Ashran. The schematic costs one Secret of Draenor Engineering; crafting this currency has a one day cooldown.
Non-engineers can also craft this pet by building the Engineering Works in the garrison, and upgrading the plot to level 3. After obtaining enough materials, speak with one of the NPCs at the level 3 Engineering Works to have them create the pet for you.

Squeeeeeeeawk!
Very good pet for leveling backup pets
Great battle pet but why is it labeled "Mechanical"?
This is my favorite pet for wild pet battles. Alpha Strike (vs. water) and Haywire (vs. beasts) are both solid attacks against common wild pet types, and it also has type defense against beasts. Decoy is helpful for swapping in a leveling pet, or your Turnip for a capture against hard-hitters.
Great against Beasts, with natural defense (-33% damage), 2 avoidance moves, and the Haywire offensive ability which deals high Mechanical damage (i.e. anti-Beast) with reasonable 3 round cool-down.
I use this pet to level others because Decoy is awesome, and the wild pets around the Horde Garrrison are the best type to fight. Unless I'm very unlucky, usually because of the rats joining, I can carry two low level pets.
Normally, one pet goes from 1 to 5 but right now, with Sign of the Critter buff (200% more exp), a pet goes from 1 to 8, or two pets go from 1 to 6.
After that there is a decrease but it's great anyway.
Aww.. 75% crit chance with Haywire would have been awesome!
This guy is a beast for pet leveling. In The Vale of Eternal Blossums at the Mistfall village this guy can easily tank 3 to four full battles before you need to pet heal.Abilities: Alpha Strike, Hawkeye, Decoy
Hawk Eye, plus Alpha strike destroys those aquatic pets, usually within three turns. Then set your decoy and bring your low level carry pet in without fear.
This dropped for me today from a Blingtron 5000 outside the auction house. Finally something cool from Bling!
This is my go-to pet anytime I'm battling beasts. Flying pets have natural resistance to beast attacks, the Mechanical Axebeak's decoy increases its survivability, and its mechanical attack is strong against beast creatures. It's one I typically keep in my active slots when I'm out and about the world.
I don't know if this was a glitch or something, but I got this pet from the new Blingtron on 12/17/2014.
Note that although this pet is called a Mechanical Axebeak and is created by engineers, that it is a flying pet and not a mechanical. It does not "resurrect" when it is killed - it simply dies.
I don't have engineering, but I was able to craft this pet and the Mechanical Scorpid at level 2 engineering gearworks. It also has the Lifelike Mechanical Frostboar available, just haven't gotten the mats yet. I do have a level 3 garrison, but I haven't upgraded my engineering building yet.
