Patch 7.0.3 | Posted: August 2, 2016
Unlike previous Archaeology pets, this pet can only be obtained by completing the quest The Apocalypse Bringer. This quest is the last quest in a three part quest chain, which starts with Out of the Frying Pan given by Dariness the Learned in Dalaran (Broken Isles).
Players do not need a specific Archaeology skill level, however players must be level 110 to pick up this quest. The Archaeology quests from Dalaran (Broken Isles) rotate every two weeks, so the quest that rewards Wyrmy Tunkins may not always be available.

In his home realm, he commanded an army of ten million demons. Now his power is yours to command. Go make him fight a chicken!
Ok so my buddy said he was in Org and saw what looked like Wyrmy running around dropping piles of what appeared to be gold but you needed archeology to even loot them. Is that this pet or some other one?
Excellent PVP pet.
'Jar of Smelly Liquid' is an OP ability when combined with the Humanoid racial. You have the option for disruption through 'Nether Gate' or high damage with 'Buuurp!'. Very versitile pet.
Not sure what other commenters are talking about getting this guy was HARD! The drop rate on the quest item was mega low and the dig sites were infested with golden elites that killed me every few minutes! By the time I was done ALL my armor was red and I was screaming at Blizzard out loud! I had no idea I would get this little guy at the end of it and when I did Blizzard was forgiven!
Got him yesterday from the Archeology quest in Aszune, starts as usual in Dalaran and then you get quite simple research project from Brann.
Update: Person above complaied about how hard it was - indeed, one of dig sites was in elite area, but there were always two more where where one could dig without many problems, and one of them was devoid of any mobs at all (the southernmost one). It took me around two hours (two 1 hour sessions) and was more or less relaxing experience.
DOT, Slow, Attack reduction, and a enemy force swap? Heck yea!
-"Buurp!" with RI will do 1182+156=1338 damage + 78.
