Warlords of Draenor
Patch 6.0.1 | Posted: October 14, 2014
Players with the tailoring skill can purchase the recipe for this pet at the Tailoring Emporium plot in the garrison or from the tailoring vendor at the Alliance or Horde faction hub in Ashran. The recipe costs five Secret of Draenor Tailoring; crafting this currency has a one day cooldown.
The Elekk Plushie is part of the achievement "An Awfully Big Adventure" which rewards the pet Trunks.
To complete this achievement, players must battle trainers with the Elekk Plushie on their team. Because the plushie doesn't have any actual damaging attacks, it's considered a "carry pet". However, its large health pool at max level does allow it to soak some hits.
The Elekk Plushie does not have to be swapped into battle for one round to count towards the achievement. It can happily sit on the back row and only needs to be on the team during the encounter.

This adorable little elephant is always there for you.
Would like to see an achievement “Win a pet battle using 3 Elekk Plushies”. The reward should be a good one.
He's not so bad. I use him to take those big 2 stage hits you know are comming. I have many pets who are big on damage but light on health that could benefit from his squishy exterior. You just need to be creative and think outside the box. I prefer trial and error to a walkthrough. The experience you gain is golden... onless you have to little time in your day.
I would like to see a PVP pet battle achievement where Elekk Plushie is used in your group and you must secure 10 PVP victories. Blizzard could name it as "An Awfully Scary Adventure"
I have done this a few times just to be funny. I can only imagine what the reaction was on the other side. I have atleast four victories already ^_^
By far the most overpowered battle pet. Some of his attacks can decimate entire teams, would recommend.
By FAR the most fun way to solo Rocko Needs a Shave.
When working towards An Awfully Big Adventure, do NOT treat this pet as dead weight. The plushie can and will work for the achievement with you, if you let it! The plushie has no offensive abilities, but it is the ULTIMATE damage sponge. Get it to max level and stoned to rare and it can soak just about anything thrown at it. Swap it in to take the big hits while your attack pets hide safe behind its cuddly bulk.
The pet's high health (even at low levels) makes it an ideal switch when your other pets apply DoT and Damage on Hit effects to your opponent's pet(s).
One of my favorite tactics is to use my Cinder Pup's Immolation (which deals damage even when other pets are active) and Flame Breath attacks, and then switch to my Elekk Plushie, and ride out the DoT.
Lets just say you play a team that relies on long CD's. Elekk Plushie can give you those extra rounds since no other pet has this much life. It has 2 actual abilities which include a 25% dodge and a slow swap(NEITHER OF WHICH HAVE A CD!!) It is really good for telegraphed actions like Deep Breath or Niuzao's Charge. ****Side note: the Swap of this pet seems to always swap to the pet first in line.
Sure, he can't hit. And sure, he can't heal. But he can be useful in a fight. His saving grace is that he can take a punch. Use him for rope-a-dope and when the opponent is on cooldown for his best ability swap Plushie out.
P.S. I found another useful combat skill for this intrepid beastie. He serves as a nice fuel for pets that can consume corpses (I'm looking at you, Wee-bomb).
To get credit towards An Awfully Big Adventure, the plushie does not need to be used or swapped in during the fight, and it doesn't need to be "alive" by the end of the fight. The plushie just need to be in the team that wins the fight. A round or two not spent on swapping pets could be the difference between winning or losing a fight.
At first it looks like this pet is only filler for an achievement, but he does carry some utility in battles, especially a few of the daily ones. His Cute As A Button ability gives him 25% dodge for the duration, and Itchin' For A Stitchin' is a pet swap done at the Plushie's speed (Either the second pet slot or your highest HP pet I haven't worked it out yet), rather than prioritised first. This slow switch can be used to tank a massive attack, especially with his massive HP pool.
My plushie is a Rare but my collection here has it as Common? Any others have this glitch?
Only Tailors with Tailoring Profession can make this. Not avail from your Garrison. Make a Tailor Friend Today!™
I am gutted that he doesn't follow me :(
Should have read the fine print.....silly me
Don't overlook Plushie's utility as a battler. His "Cute as a Button" attack gives him a 25% dodge chance, and "Itchin' for a Stitchin'" gives you a free swap with either your slot 2 pet or whichever was last active. (I need to confirm this with more testing.)
When stoned to rare he has over 2500hp, and is incredibly useful for soaking up big attacks. My best strategy for Master Payne was to let Globule's dot's chip away at the second and third pet while Plushie took dmg.
Finally made mine today, and immediately used a stone to upgrade it to Rare. =)
But ... I feel my life is not complete until I've fielded a team of three lvl 25 plushies at least once.
Is this actually any good as a battle pet?
Cuteness is not a factor. Will this actually be a valuable battle pet in a team?
If you know someone with the recipe, to collect the mats to craft it you need: 100 Sumptuous Fur + 50 Gorgrond Flytraps (so they can craft the necessary Hexweave Cloth) and 10 Sorcererous Earth.
It takes 5 Secrets of Draenor Tailoring so it takes 5 days to learn the recipe.
(Three days to go...can you all tell I'm being impatient? :-))
Just got my Plushie this morning, and he is awesome of course. I discovered that "Cute as a Button", the level 2 ability, increases dodge chance by 25% for 2 rounds, although the tooltip doesn't mention this. A good thing to know when using him in all those brutal tamer battles.
I just had a tailor friend make this for me... it is BoP, but once it is learned it can be crated! :)
Can you make this one in a tailoring garrison uilding if u dont have a tailorer?
