This pet may be used by non-engineers. It uses the same model as Wood Frog. The recipe is a rare BoU world drop found on random [46-60] mobs. This pet is a reference to Philip K. Dick's novel, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? which inspired the movie "Blade Runner". In the novel, a lone android toad is discovered in a barren wasteland.

Talented engineers have crafted an exact replica of a wood frog, at only ten times the cost of buying the real thing.
I agree this pet is way underrated. It's a champ particularly against meta teams with strong undead.Â
I just got one from a Blingtron 5000 package! Not sure how common it is for them to gift you this pet, but definitely a bonus!
Underrated IMO, great vs undead and mech! I used him as my opener, his speed gets either his tongue lash in to great effect vs undead, or he tends to get that frog kiss planted on mechs. The stacking damage of the kiss is also pretty nice as well, and I am surprised at how often he the Polymorph kicks in. He seems to throw people for a loop, I see a lot of stymied delays when he is the opener.Â
Mechanical with strong attacks against Elementals! But quite useful against undead with Tongue Lash, and even 276 speed usually is enough to be faster against them. Healing Wave is pretty strong and you also got mech failsafe to keep you fighting longer. Fun little pet to try but without Frog Kiss stuns don't really expect miracles, but when Frog Kiss do procc it can really mess with your opponent. It usually can take one Elemental to the grave, what is more than most Mechs can.
Got the recipe off one of the old green world dragons. made one immediately and the recipe has brought me lots of gold. As soon as pet battles came up he was my main pet and he still is. He's almost useless being a mechanical with aquatic abilities but I wouldn't swap him for the world.
12 Thorium Bars
1 Gold Bar (enough for 3 toads!)
4 Runecloths
1 Living Essence
1 Rugged Leather
Notice that this pattern is a rare drop, and not every engineer will have it. As a matter of fact the rarity of the pattern makes this pet more difficult to obtain than say Tranquil Mechanical Yeti
