alternate skin as avatar

hello! i was looking through my pet journal and decided that the red skin of the Mirror Strider was what i wanted as my avatar. however, looking through the options for avatars, the alternate skin isn't selectable. is there a way to select that particular model for my avatar? is only one color selectable for any pet that has different colors (aside from finding another pet with the same color)?

I assume that for pets with multiple skins one is chosen some how as the skin used. Unfortunately, It seems like the Mirror Strider is the only one that comes with that skin and it's not the one they are choosing to use here.

so the functionality to let us choose an alternate skin as an avatar isn't currently implemented? that might be a good feature to work on in the future, i.e. have every skin listed in the avatar selection screen. duplicates can be removed if that's an annoyance.

hey, guys! i see that since i posted this thread, we got alternate skin avatars implemented! however, even though i clicked around and saw that the alternate skins were available for many pets, the mirror strider is bugged out. D: it seems the site really doesn't want me using that skin.

edit: oh wow i just noticed how recently this feature was put in. maybe i should have waited a bit. lol.

Yep -- we just added it Friday. Let us know if you have trouble using any alternate skins for your profile pic.
